Avoch Chippy in Highland

Excellent, real chips and lovely fish too and pleasant staff

Unplanned late Sunday afternoon stop. Chips were fine. Batter on fish to thick and not crispy. A little disappointing.

Great menu. Salt & Pepper Squid!! Chips were great. A very decent chippy. Definitely the best on the Black Isle.

A big portion for fish and chips and a very big meal I would say. Cash only not card payments. Our food was very hot and fresh. It was raining outside and there is no seating in to eat at the shop so we had our food inside the car facing the loch with drizzle and some nice fresh wind, I would say not too bad...

Discussing, worst chippy I've ever tasted. Ordered After 5pm, waited 1/2hour for 2 fish suppers. The batter was too thick and still raw underneath and nearly £8 each. They don't take card only cash. No bottles of sauce on the counter for your food if you want sauce it's sachets only. Waste of money because nobody could eat it, very disappointed.

The Chip Shop is on the main road through Avoch.All the food is cooked to order and well worth the wait!You can walk down to a grass area with tables to eat your food.The shop is cash only, they are very friendly and helpful you won't want to pass this by!

Great chippie, definitely lived up to it's reputation. We will be back soon. Only gripe from our wee one was that it would have been nicer to have melted cheese on the cheesy chips. Otherwise spot on!

Superb. Really nice fish and chips with a lovely nice crisp batter and the chips were excellent. Staff were really nice too.... thanks for a lovely meal and service 🙂

AMAZING! Absolutely beautiful fish and chips and sausage supper. We took the short walk to the harbour and ate a lovely supper in a lovely village. Loved it so much we went back for an extra portion of chips to take back to our holiday cottage. Friendly staff and great service. Very reasonably priced for such fresh food. GIVE THIS CHIPPY A TRY IF YOUR ON THE BLACK ISLE!

Delicious! I had the Harbour Salad and chips and my husband had a Vegetarian pizza and we shared them. The girl at the counter explained what was in the Harbour salad (potatoes, carrots, peas and gerkins) and that it was freshly made by the owner and recommended it. It was lovely, as was the pizza. My husband makes his own pizzas at home and said this was the best shop bought takeaway pizza he's ever had.The chips were tasty and freshly cooked, far, far better than the ones I had a few days ago from the chip shop in Fortrose.Highly recommended!
