Balavil Hotel Restaurant in Highland

Stayed couple of nights, hotel was clean throughout, our 2 rooms were clean well presented, good shower clean toilet etc.Swimming pool area all clean and well looked after. Breakfast was fine. Evening meal was really nice, good choice, food qualityand presentation, excellent. Staff all very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.

This is a great place to eat after a day on the mountains. Wholesome food and lovely staff, so attentive to detail. Definitely coming here again!

Just left after having a lovely couple of day's for my partner's uncles 70th birthday,great place to stay and having the swimming pool for our daughter was great ,the homemade food was delicious, thanks again to Fraser and the staff.

What a joy to find such a warm welcoming hotel. Food was excellent and our room was super comfy. The staff are brilliant, everyone was so friendly and attentive. Definitely a place to return to.

We stopped for a coffee and the place was warm and cute. James , who attended to us was ever so friendly. He made sure the fire was blazing and we were kept warm.We will surely return.

Great stay for wedding party. Service and food all top quality, especially impressive given the difficulties hospitality sector faces. Even has a small pool that is great for relaxing in and even doing short lengths to loosen up.

Hotel is in a great location, off the main road but accessible to the whole area.The hotel is clean and well run, the management and staff being very helpful and taking the time to help if needed.The food was great and imaginative. The Brie burger was something else, and I’m amazed no one thought of it before.Breakfasts are varied and plentiful.

We were a party of 15, we didn’t stay at the hotel but had booked for us all for an evening meal. The hospitality was fantastic, service and hotel was perfect. Beautiful clean, organised hotel, calm, cosy and inviting.Our family ranged from 2 years - 70, and the hotel was incredibly accommodating.The menu, food and service was all really good, all served in a timely fashion, food was fresh and delicious we were all really happy with the whole evening. Oh and very important the whiskey selection was extensive and we couldn’t resist a tipple or two… very nice. If your in the area I would highly recommend a pit stop for lunch or longer vacation at this beautiful hotel.

Really great place. We didn't stay here but wish we did. We spend more time here than our own hotel. Great whisky selection and lovely, helpful, knowledgeable staff. Well worth a visit

We stayed in this hotel for a week. Situated in small but charming town Newtonmore, right next to the big co op shop. Hotel is lovely, clean, with good breakfast, small bar with great choice of alcohol. We ate dinner 4 times in the hotel and it was just delicious. Home cooked, great quality and decent portions. I would definitely eat there again. Members of staff were friendly and helpful. Oh and the swimming pool was just an extra great addition. Thank you very much for making my first visit to Scotland so pleasant. I would love to come back there.
