Bannockburn Inn in Highland

Clean, tidy and if you were in a fix them you'd be OK. Other than that it's poor service all round. No attempt to provide breakfast at all. It's classed as B&B but check before you pay. The proprietor didn't help at at all to source anything for breakfast. No milk in the room even for coffee or tea. Shared toilet and bathroom as well with 3 other rooms. Sorry but won't book this in a rush again. Some simple changes though could easily turn this round.!!

We didn’t stay. We visited the restaurant this evening. Food was lovely. We were so impressed though with the service from Kyle who seemed to be on his own doing everything!! He kept his calm and made sure everyone was happy. Such a nice young man and obviously works hard to care for the customers. We had starters and mains. Food was really lovely and pleasantly surprised there was a good Prosecco!! Fab. X

Great food and friendly bar staff and locals.We didn't make a reservation to eat in the restaurant but were in early and had food in the bar.Options for food are very limited in Helmsdale on a Monday and Tuesday due to the legendary chippy/restaurant being closed and we did see a couple who turned up at 730 be turned away as the restaurant couldn't take them.

Great for a stop on the way north. Phoned our order in as we drove, and arrived to a reserved table and rapid service. Good food too!
