Bayview Hotel restaurant in Highland

Best meal we had in Ireland. The filet was perfection. The views were stunning.

A lovely seaside hotel, notable for its outstanding food, attentive and helpful staff, and excellent panoramic views. Also worth noting that there is ample parking, a pub-sized bar with lots of beers on tap, an elevator and lots of accessibility. The food really was exceptional - an easy five stars. The only minus on our visit was an out-of-control heating system, which made our room extremely warm, so we had to sleep with open windows.

My friends and I visited the restaurant after a long cold walk to the giants causeway and the Bayview absolutely hit the spot warming us up with their soup of the day. This is a place that takes customer satisfaction seriously. Delicious food, friendly service, gorgeous interior, and very reasonable prices the Bayview really is a gem for Portballintrae. I encourage everyone to stop by!

From the Warm Welcome and professionalism shown by the Girls at Reception, to the Brilliant Brian serving in the Bar and Manny serving at Dinner this hotel was a wonderful experience. Very Highly Recommended on everything from location to the food and Accommodation. We will be back very soon👏👏👏

I visit this hotel every time I am in Northern Ireland and always enjoy dining in the restaurant. I have eaten several delicious meals here, and can highly recommend the Thai curry, which is everything you would want and expect (see attached picture). One of my favourites is 'Peppered Chicken' served with tobacco onions. This is very mouth watering. As well as being delicious, the food was also very well presented and HOT when it arrived. I know this is my own personal preference, but I do not like lukewarm food - having to hurry and eat it before it is stone cold. Their shortbread is also second to none and I can also vouch for this as well! I know several members of staff and everyone is very welcoming and friendly. I would also point out that, from what I can see, everyone is treated in the same exemplary manner so it not just because I am known to them!The place is spotlessly clean and everything that one would expect from a prestigious establishment. (They have recently acquired a lovely digital grand piano. It is a lovely instrument with great sound and touch. If any pianists fancy a break, you could give it a try.)I can tell from having a quick look at other reviews, that most people feel as I do so I am only reiterating what has already been said many times. It is obvious that customer satisfaction is taken very seriously and the management and staff will go the second mile to ensure that all guests enjoy their visit. I would just implore anyone who is not satisfied, for whatever reason, to ensure they speak to someone from the management/reception before writing a review. We are all only human and hiccups can occur anywhere. As stated earlier, the staff are professional and would never want any customers/guests to be in any way unhappy with the service they receive. If anyone does have an issue, no matter how slight, please make your feelings known and give relevant staff the chance to put it right. In this way, the final review will then give a more accurate evaluation, and hence, be of more help to prospective clients.

From the minute we arrived at the hotel we were made more than welcome. The staff throughout our stay made sure we were well looked after. Reception, Bar. Restaurant and not forgetting Housekeeping do yourselves a favour and stay here you won't be disappointed.we will be back.

Stayed over last Saturday evening and from arrival to departure the whole experience was amazing. Thanks to everyone including morning service staff :)Food is restaurant was also great and at a great price too :)

We had a wonderful stay in the hotel and several standout meals during our stay. Particularly appreciated the friendly staff, varied and interesting menu (including several veg options, and location by the sea. Also perfect location from which we explored the coast. Would definitely stay again

What a view but unfortunately the hotel was fully booked and we couldn't stay but we had the most wonderful meal we have ever had in our life. The service was superb Sarah and Cecile are the most professional friendly girls and are worth their weight in gold! Can't wait to go back and hopefully stay Thank you Bayview 😊
