Bulas Bar and Bistro in Highland

Beautiful hotel, beautiful views, amazing food, and staff was absolutely welcoming and kind !Will definitely stay again, we all loved it!!!We stayed in a family room, and our 2 boys loved the bunk beds. The staff went out of their way to ask our kids how they were each time they saw us, really made them feel special.We had an amazing trip. Thank you Ballachulish Hotel!

Old world charm - in spades. Unfortunately we only stopped to check it out for future tours. Looking forward to staying, and spending an hour by the open fire.

We had the most wonderful stay at the Ballachulish Hotel. The staff couldn't have done more for us, and their warm and friendly disposition made the hotel feel like a home away from home. We stayed in one of the superior bedrooms which was large, decorated beautifully, and had stunning views directly over Loch Linnhe. The food was delicious, we ate in the hotel restaurant every night and were spoilt for choice as well as quality food. All in all we can't recommend this hotel enough!

Unable to go to France for Christmas, my husband and I took the last minute decision to escape to the Highlands for a quieter celebration. Best decision ever!The Ballachulish Hotel was our home from home from Christmas eve to Dec. 27th. They had a special package on which included all dinners, B&B, full Christmas lunch and an array of special touches which delighted us throughout our stay. I don't want to give too much away in case you're thinking of it for next year.For 3 days, at times, I felt like I was in a Dickens story. The old building was beautifully decorated, oozing character with Christmas trees everywhere. Loved it! What also contributed to our lovely stay was the staff. Every single one of them was very nice, patient, helpful, friendly...The food was obviously an important part of our experience. I was impressed by the menu beforehand and ever more after eating it! Fantastic amuse-bouche followed by a 3-course meal! No wonder we couldn't eat it all! Chefs, well done and thank you!The only reason why I took a star off is because our shower was a real let down (in spite of a beautiful newly fitted bathroom). Don't let this stop you!Thank you to everyone at the Ballachulish Hotel for turning what could have been a depressing Christmas into an enchanting, relaxing one!

Decent 3 star hotel, clean and quite spacious with helpful staff. Restaurant is alright but do be aware you might be dining next to dogs/barking at the next table.

Our room was great, really spacious with a cracking view over the loch. Bed was super comfortable. Staff were kind and attentive - and very patient with our children!Loved the langoustines at dinner. Highly recommend

Beautiful on the outside. Gorgeous location. Staff was friendly and helpful. Food was good but very pricey. Our room and most of the interior of the hotel was in terrible need of remodeling!! The stair case going up to the rooms is very squeaky for the first and second flight. But if you have to go up the third and fourth flight, beware! It sounds and feels like they will tumble down while you are on them.

Restaurant not good really. Expensive and not good. My wife had Hake - very small hake with lots of mussel! I had Plaice which itself was OK but covered in a very strong sauce - chef totally spoiling the fish. Attitude of head waiter could be better too. Better places to eat nearby. Pity.

Stayed one night (sept 2021) and was really pleasantly surprised. Staff were really nice. Room was very clean, tidy, had everything I needed but also some really nice touches by way of a couple of miniatures of gin, tonic and even ice in an ice bucket. Also two large bottles of water in the room too. Hotel is dog friendly and a towel and bowl left for my furry companion. Great views and fantastic location.
