Thanks to Sid Spice, I got my spice fix after few days on NC500 road trip. I wanted the curry to be made Desi style.. and result was awesome South Indian Chicken curry made 'Apna' style. The Veg biryani and all the extras were of top quality. Looking forward to visiting Sid Spice next time I am on the NC500 drive. Thanks guys.. made my evening..

Thank you for an excellent takeaway! Favourites were the chilli paneer- Best we've had- flavoursome and hot but not sweet- lovely! and the king prawn malabar- lovely heat and flavour and with a generous helping of King prawns. Least favourite was the saag paneer but that's perhaps a personal preference (it lacked the earthy taste I normally expect, it was really sweet and almost syrupy in texture and there could have been more green chillies, salt and fresh spinach too). We'd come back next time we're in the area!

Sid puts so much heart, soul and hard work in his restaurant. You have to come by and taste his dishes. His sauce cooks for 24 hours to achieve this great taste and it’s for sure one of the best Indian restaurants I have been all my life. If you come by at the rush hours it’s possible that you have to wait because everything is prepared fresh, but it’s totally worth the wait.

I am from Texas, USA. I stayed in Scotland for six months. I had never tried Indian cuisine before and Sid’s Spice was recommended to me by a friend who knew a good restaurant when they went to one. I am so glad I tried Sid’s Spice. I ate here a total of three times—each visit being better than the one before. I couldn’t express how much I enjoyed Sid’s food. It was absolutely amazing! Indian cuisine is now my favorite. On the third and last visit I had a Vegan dish with mushrooms pictured below. Now it may seem odd, but when I took the first bite, I literally had tears in my eyes. It was one of the best things I had ever eaten—cultured layers of spices exploded in my mouth. It was so delicious.Aside from the food, the owner, Sid, was absolutely one of the kindest restauranteurs I’ve met. The setting was really modern yet I felt like I was somewhere in India. This restaurants definitely a must try.
