We had a wonderful experience at Capilla. We selected the chilli & garlic prawns; aubergine chips; calamari and meat balls. All the meals were tasty and well cooked. The dessert menu was ample as well. The drinks menu was varied. Staff were extremely helpful. You will need to book for dinner. Overall everything was great.

This was alright for the area, a little salty tasting but a modern take on tapas cuisine, the dessert was amazing.

I wasn't sure what to expect from here for lunch, so we ordered 4 dishes. When lunch first came out, I thought 'where's open to get lunch after this', but it was filling & very tasty. There was 3 of us & we ordered 4 dishes: garlic prawns, calamari, octopus & black pudding with chorizo. Definitely going back now I know what to expect from here. The octopus wasn't over cooked & rubbery. It was cooked perfectly. The dishes we tried were very tasty & cooked nicely. We had bread, aioli & olives & 2 puddings (forgot to photograph). The staff were lovely, polite & helpful.

Nice vibe well decorated would work for a casual beer and snacks or for a more formal occasion. Good food and great desserts, not bad value either. Service was good although we were brought a round of beers on two occasions when only I ordered one. It's a small place though and was almost booked out on a Tuesday night.

This place was strongly recommended by our landlady in Thurso and she called to get us a lunchtime booking. We were not disappointed. Warm welcome on arrival and a good choice of meat, veg or fish tapas. We had the potatoe, meat ball, prawns, chicken with honey and chorizo with black pudding tapas. All very tasty.. The portions are big so maybe 4 tapas between two would be sufficient and allowing room for one of the many dessert options. We tried to go back another night but sadly fully booked. Would strongly recommend this restaurant but book in advance.

Friendly service. The food is excellent. It's a hidden gem. I can recommend the Gambas, Scallops and the Aubergine dishes which were very impressive and delicious.

Just had an amazing dinner with friends and the kids. Food so good, ended up trying most of the menu. Puddings were a hit too. What a fab wee place!! Great atmosphere, lovely friendly staff and fabulous food. A must visit place if you reach the end of the A9.

Amazing food packed with so much flavour. Enjoyed it so much didn't have any room for dessert. Lovely staff in a perfect setting. A great dinner while exploring the NC500.

Absolutely fantastic. We ordered about 10 dishes between the 2 of us and 2 desserts (we hadn’t eaten lunch). Other than the Chicken croquettes which were perhaps a bit bland, i thoroughly enjoyed the rest of the food and the cod croquettes more than made up for them. Service was also extremely good and speedy also. Was able to book a table on 2 hours notice. Highly recommend to anybody in or around or passing through.
