This was good place, it was crowded when we went there. We had to wait for like 20 min, a little difficult since it was raining. But we waited outside ordered a beer. The food was good. I think very few restaurants around this area so this would be a good choice. The staff was really friendly.

Not the greatest of choice and what I got was vile,it was supposed to be BBQ pulled pork but it was in a un toasted ciabatta served with Brakes own (or similar) chips the bbq sauce was like a cheap jar of Tesco's economy brand bbq sauce ,very watery and sharp like vinegar, my partner however got the seafood platter which she enjoyed but she had the distinct feeling that a lot of what was on her plate was taken in and not fresh from local suppliers ...the staff member that served us was polite and attentive and I could not fault her service or manner, a very nice young lady. All in all I would not return unless the quality bar is seriously raised ,this being said your opinion my vary on the taste and quality of the said dishes served.

Very friendly service. Had the lagoustines and the haggis as a starter. Both were very tasty and presented nicely, recommended!

I’m so glad they were open when so many of the places are closed in November after peak tourist season. For dinner at this time of year, they move their service over to the connected pub. The food, I originally though, was a little pricy, but when they came and I saw the sizes of those plates, it more than made up for those prices. The fried haddock and chips was the largest I’d ever seen, golden brown and crispy, too. I thought the roasted veggie pasta was pretty basic, but the Cullen Skink was really great! Felt (very) well-fed afterwards and comfortable in the environment they created in there.

Very good cuisine, the best herring I have ever tried :) I recommend you to choose variety of fresh fishes on a plate :) Yummy!

·

Nice staff and people. Food was average but quite overpriced. Two burnt bruschetta with no flavour for 5.50£, not so nice.... Fish was nice though. The details with the pool table and view of the water was good. One other con was the coldness in the bar.

Great pub, highly recommend their fish&chips, sausage&mash and their mussels which are daily specials!
