Nice comfortable room with a balcony. Excellent evening meal & breakfast. The real ale was great too. Great value for money. Highly recommend a stay here.

8 people and one dog welcomed. Infact the dog was given her own drink. We stopped for food and it was delicious. We all ordered a starter and mains. All of us had food envy. A very welcoming place.

We had a small wedding in Mallaig on the 18th of March and the Clachain did outside catering for the day. The provided a buffet for the boat, main meal (haggis or chicken curry) and then another buffet at night. The food was outstanding with large portions. The staff were lovely and we would highly recommend their services. Thank you to all at the clachain that made our special day perfect!!

Lovely pub with a lovely atmosphere. I have the beyondmeat burger which was great however it was the only vegan option so this place could really do with adding a few more vegan options, to give people the option and to reduce their environmental impact.

Nice enough place but advertised serving food till 3pm and we went in at 2 45 only to be told kitchen has just closed. Fair enough but then 20 mins later we saw a party of 6 being served food. So had a packet of crisps £1 50 !!!!! and then peanuts which were nearly 2 months past their sell by date.

Super easy check in to a spotless room with everything you'd need for a few nights away, including a really comfy bed 😴The pub itself had really friendly staff, a great selection of drinks and the bar food was delicious!We stayed 2 nights and our breakfasts on both mornings were absolutely spot on.We can not fault our stay and will look forward to returning.

A warm and welcoming place on a cold December day when not much else was open. Pies are home made and really tasty. I had the Highlander chicken which was moist and delicious with black pudding and a haggis fritter in top with home made pepper sauce. Definitely recommend.

Steve the head chef just couldn't do enough for us on our recent visit...so hospitable. The food was lovely and the room (albeit basic) was clean and tidy and everything worked as it should just what we needed. They also were so kind and helpful in accommodating our 1.45am arrival on the train due to massive delays because of weather. I really rate this place.

Great food. Ordered the goats cheese and mushroom starter, which were fantastic. For mains, we ordered Mac and cheese and the mushroom risotto. Really enjoyed the Mac n cheese, the risotto was just okay though. Still, great food overall. They're open till a decently later in the evening unlike most places in Mallaig. Had to ask for water 4 times before getting a glass but they seemed genuinely busy. Good atmosphere
