On traveling for a long time, we stopped here to have something to eat. Not really for me, we sat outside in the wonderful weather with the backdrop of the mountains but did not feel the service was there. To eat outside, you have to order inside, pay, get a buzzer to say it ready and pick up the food in a 'takeaway' container and to be honest wish I did not bother. Not a great experience from what could be a great environment, aww well,

Great location, beautiful views, fast service and reasonable prices. Basic Scottish food menu and decor. They allow walk-ins and people who are not staying at the inn into the restaurant.

Not a place that caters for Families with Teenagers. Been visiting the Clachaig for over 30 years and stayed recently with my teenage son. There is a bar lounge (in effect a restaurant) as well as the Boot Bar, which is well known among the climbing community and highlighted in the website strongly. Unfortunately even though Scottish Licensing laws allow teenagers into bars with responsible adults The Clachaig has decided to have a plan that prevents this. When I asked to bring my son in with me to enjoy the atmosphere and as a budding climber I was prevented from doing so. Very sad and not necessary. An easy update to their Licensing plans would resolve this and could be done if they wanted to. I tried to follow up afterwards also and in effect got the same response; "Can't Do - Won't Do". A great place for "Adults Only" and "Families with young Children" but not older kids with their parents. With the lounge bar full of young children and babies we returned to our room, TV and devices - not the plan for our weekend as Father and teenage son. Best go elsewhere where you can fully enjoy all the facilities advertised.

A rustic local pub, made for welcoming walkers and climbers off the hill after a big day. Boots are welcome and often found stomping to the sound of live music. Good food available as well as a great selection of Scottish beers, ales and, of course, whiskies!

Set in amazing scenery this pub/ restaurant had everything to keep you warm in the February cold. The boot room around the back is particularly cosy with a vast range of beers and whiskies and great food. Just what you need after a bracing walk or mountain climb.

Absolutely love visiting Glen Coe and the Clachaig. Always friendly staff and great to see familiar faces. Missed our annual trip last year but pleased to be able to call for a stay over on our travels last month. Just a shame we didn't have any snow. 💕

Had to wait for a table tonight such was the popularity. Well worth the wait as usual. Staff couldn’t have been more apologetic for the wait. Cajun chicken and fish n chips were just lovely. Despite being busy and staff challenged standards remained high as always. The highlight of the trip again. Like a giant warm highland hug! Lovely people, lovely bar, lovely food. 👌👍

Good food, a brilliant atmosphere and an outstanding choice of beer. Sampling everything they have on pump could be known as the Clachaig Challenge. Their live music and accommodation is excellent too. What an atmosphere!

We loved it here in summer. We had hoped to return last week while we were up in the Trossachs but alas our van broke down 🙄. We will return! The food is lovely - although we also enjoyed calling in before last food orders for a glass of wine and a pudding sat outside while the kids played!

I will dream of this place for the rest of my life. We randomly found it when planning our trip from the US (during the pandemic, before the Delta variant) because they had a car charger. We found this place as epic and impressive as the hills of Glencoe. The playground was a smash hit with our kids. The service was over the top friendly (like EVERYONE who worked there). The views were awe inspiring. The food was delicious. The drinks were satisfying. Our room was a cozy cabin space that had a modern flair, the walks nearby were terrific and it was a quick drive to all the beautiful local sites. Everything about our stay at the Clachaig Inn was dreamy and memorable.
