We dropped the kids off at the leisure centre and thought the cafe here would be fine and handy, so tried driving towards it to find that to get access we had to drive away, go on a big detour round the back, then come in from the other side. Still, once we did that at least we got parked close to the door. As it was not too far to the actual gardens I took my rolator but we went to the cafe first. We found a table near the door though the seats were for me uncomfortable. They are all basic hardwood chairs. Nobody seems to think that elderly or disabled people might need something just a little more comfortable these days. We got our order which was fine and we enjoyed that then decided to view the gardens but before leaving, I needed to use the restroom.Unfortunately it was undersized and I had a devil of a job getting turned and seated, though I did manage eventually. OK, I was slightly squint, so decided to try and lift myself a touch with the railings and get straightened. I then got an almighty shock as water squirted all over my rear end. I was still shaking half an hour later! Still I managed to get sorted and cleaned up and my wife and I went and enjoyed the botanic gardens, which, by the way, we highly recommend. The cafe is fine enough for a cuppa, and the service and produce is decent. When we are back in Inverness we will probably go there again, but I will look somewhere else for a toilet.

Great lunch time soup and cheese scone (bread, or oat cake also available). Usually two choices.Changed operator again so back under Highlife Highland management as Cafe Botanics; staff appear to be a mixture of the previous Cobbs staff and the former Aquadome cafe staff. As reliable as ever, great soup & scone again today ☺️

Nice cafe with limited seating. They have a small selection of sandwiches and cakes with hot drinks available. Everything looked nice and clean. The log burner in the seating area was a nice touch on a cold November morning.

The staff are very helpful poor selection of food

Limited food selection but lovely to be able to sit on outdoor veranda with a good coffee. If going, combine with a walk around the gardens and greenhouses and maybe purchase some plants and/or vegetable.

Lovely space just in the botanic gardens, the café was refurbished recently and looks pleasant. We enjoyed the food. Haggis sandwich was good, homemade soup and the best cheese scone I ever had so far. But the best was actually the lovely Cheryl who served us with a big smile and cheerful attitude at all time.

Wasn't impressed. Waited ages to be seated. Then another very long wait for my order to be taken. Tea and plain scone. It looked nice but so crumbly and dry left 3/4s of it.

I have never seen a worst cafe house. Sandwiches just in the cooler(you could buy them like this in every Supermarkt). The cake doesn't seem homemade at all(from tesco??) 2 Stars only because the inside was not sooo bad.

Good atmosphere. However basic food hygiene not being observed guys. At least cover the cakes.Provide tongs for service of the above. Soup was tasteless. It's the little things that matter!!You can dress it up with China and that artisan thing but don't like other people's fingers onsomething Im about eat.

Non-experience due to being refused entry, along with two young mothers, two children and two adults at 3.30!! Obviously will not be returning but I'm sure it would have been a nice experience.
