Been here three times in the past two weeks because of how incredible this place is. The food is stunning and always perfectly cooked. The items on the menu's, both lunch and dinner are varied and are composed of very beautiful flavour combinations. A real treat of a place. I wouldn't bat an eye if this place was expensive as it's worth it 100%. And that's the thing, it's not expensive. It's actually cheap, especially for lunch. 3 courses at lunch = £13. And 3 at dinner is £30.Best restaurant gem in Exeter. You must go!

Food is amazing. Such great tasting food. Great price for a lunch of three courses for £13

My wife and I have eaten in most of Exeter's restaurants, but we only made it here in December. We both agreed it was probably the best meal we have had in Exeter. The food is of an exceptional standard and good value for the quality on offer. The service was punctual and friendly, and the quirky building made for a lovely atmosphere. We'll most certainly be back.

In an age where chains are churning out mediocre food and average (at best) service, what a refreshing change to see a delightful menu full of things you wouldn't necessarily eat at home. Our waitress was polite and knowledgable yet discreet and personable. Basically food as good as it always was, and service that you can't fault. Love it, will be coming back again, and not as long this time. Ps lovely to see a gentleman in a motorised scooter being catered for with so much care by the staff via the side door.

Truly amazing food. Very original and exceptionally delicious. A stunning treat and incredible value. The room is wonderful too, with its Tudor wall, and the service was impeccable. Go.

Can't believe I've waited for so long to book a table here! In the heart of Exeter, lives this beautiful restaurant that is definitely a must try if you like an intimate atmosphere, great service and delicious food! The duck leg is just excuisit! The menu selections are just right, not too many items to get overwhelmed, just the right balance! I will definitely come back for more!

We arrived early for lunch. This place was located on a quiet street, but once inside the restaurant, you get light rush in from the conservatory windows. We ordered the 3 course meal, and all the dishes we had were well cooked. For the ham terrine, I would liked more watercress, but that’s the only complain I had.

The food was excellent. The duck was flavoursome, the meat fell off the bone and the skin was a little crisp and very tasty. Lamb melted in your mouth and was really exceptional. The chicken was also very nicely flavoured and tender (I didn't try the salmon but I am told it was really yummy as well). For the desserts, the crème brûlée was really creamy and lovely and went very well with the chopped up strawberries that come with it. The chocolate délice was also a real indulgence, the raspberry sorbet on the side went with it perfectly. Also must add that the service was very good, they were timely with everything but not too fast, it was really pleasant a great place to go for a family meal or a nice date.
