We first visited a couple of days ago and today we took my father in law for Sunday lunch which he really enjoyed. My husband and I are vegetarian and we were well catered for. All staff members are excellent, very friendly and give a very warm welcome. Lovely food, nice setting and a change from a pub lunch. 😀

Valentines day meal here was superb. Looked and tasted so good, I completely forgot to get a photo for this review. Highly recommended

Stopped off here back in November on our way to a wedding. Very accommodating and really pleasant service, food was delicious and good value.

We visited the Cottage Bar and restaurant on October 6th for an anniversary lunch. The business had just been taken over by new owners. We were seated quickly and the premises felt very safe as there was plenty of space in the conservatory. The location is lovely and the new owners were very welcoming. We had steak pie and roast beef with all the trimmings. It was very tasty and the portion size was very good. We will definitely return and we would recommend a visit if you are in the area.

Just happened upon here on a trip up to Ullapool and my wife and I had a wonderful lunch. The food was excellent and the staff friendly and helpful. The food was very reasonably priced too. We will definitely visit here again next time we are in the area.

Arrived and stood for 10minutes without as much as a nod of acknowledgement from a member of staff. I would have understood if the pace was busy but there was plenty of empty tables. I have never been anywhere that felt so cliquey or ignorant, won’t be back.

Driving back home to Glasgow from the North of Scotland we were looking for somewhere to have a quick bite to eat and stumbled across The Cottage Bar and Restaurant. And what a find. The roast beef my fil had was as soft and melt in your mouth as you can get.The chicken in peppercorn sauce with black pudding I had had tasted amazing until I tasted the roast beef.My wife had 2 starters. The soup of the day broccoli which was lovely. But she really the liked the poached egg.The female member of staff who served us in the garden was lovely. She brought our antisocial dogs treats and water. The interior and toilets are maybe not the most modern in the bar area (I didn't see the main restaurant area) but I was more impressed with how clean and tidy things were. The toilet must get cleaned frequently. We will stop by again for sure.I should have taken photos but I was too busy enjoying myself.

Delicious starter the main nice. Very tasty salmon but ruined by hollandaise sauce. Very disappointed with that.
