Coul House Restaurant in Highland

Oh so good 👍 very busy but staff had time to take care...food always amazing 👏 dogs welcome and I even managed to purchase a beautiful water colour by a local artist 🎨 xxx a very relaxing lunch at a traditional country house hotel

The food here is simply amazing! Rooms (I 've stayed in more than one) are spacious with beautiful views around the hotel, comfy beds and very nice bathrooms (many with showers AND bathtubs). Service is second to none with members of stuff being very friendly and helpful. I have been a guest of the restaurant and the hotel on a number of occasions and will be most definitely coming back.

Another most enjoyable and relaxing visit for us. The staff were so welcoming and attentive. Wonderful ambience with log fires and beautiful garden. Bedroom spacious and comfortable.Bed with good quality linen and shower powerful.Food at breakfast and dinner delicious.

We were booked in for a family wedding, arriving Friday and leaving Sunday morning. The grounds and house were beautiful with many small touches making the stay very memorableService was of the highest standard. The staff could not have done more for us, one even offered a lift in the early hoursof Sunday morning to relatives that did not have the fortune of staying at this gem of a hotel.

Fantastic place in beautiful surroundings. Our party of four plus dog stopped there for lunch. The food was excellent and the service first class - friendly, helpful and efficient. Very dog friendly too. Highly recommended.

Brilliant coffee stop on our route North. Great coffee, very pleasant service, knowledgable staff... So much nicer than a motorway stop off... Price very reasonable too... It a bout a quarter of a mile up a driveway but well worth the few minutes to get there...

Love love love this hotel..always very friendly..lovely relaxing and great location.Im currently using a wheelchair and walked in lately on my crutches.Its got my top marks for access for disability..great toilets no issues to get into them which is fabulous as i have found great difficulty in finding this in other places..when they have told me its easy accessibilty and it has not been that way when i get there..so thank you coul house for not excluding people who are physically challenged...😁😁

A wonderfully secluded and beautiful 'traditional' hotel. I had a one night stay at Coul House and was fortunate to get some great weather. Having walked around the extensive and well maintained gardens and then sitting on the terrace in the afternoon sunshine looking at the horses in the field at the end of the lawn, I felt relaxed and very content.The room itself was fine, not spectacular but clean, comfortable and quiet.The restaurant was competent but not outstanding: crab, tomato and fennel bisque for a starter was tasty enough but I couldn't detect any fennel. I asked for my fillet steak medium rare and it came medium well, but the cut of meat itself was excellent, generously sized and full of flavour. The peppercorn sauce was a bit thin and lifeless. Veggies and chips were good.The service was great and not intrusive.The dining room is spectacular. With a huge oil painting on one wall, views of the gardens and top quality furnishings, it's a beautiful place to have dinner.Taken individually and in isolation, I'd probably give the room and the restaurant 4 stars each, but Coul House Hotel is greater than the sum of its parts - when you include the gardens, level of service and general ambience of the place I think it deserves top marks. I wouldn't hesitate to go back.
