If you are exploring the Isle of Skye and are in need of a bite to eat: Cafe Cuil is definitely a great place to visit. Located on route to the Fairy Pools its situated in the mountains and makes for a breathtaking stop. They have a large indoor seating area with a big menu full of breakfast, lunch & dinner options, the staff are really friendly and willing to go above and beyond.I opted for a custom breakfast roll containing bacon & black pudding which turned out to be the best roll I have ever had in my life, the black pudding was sourced locally to Skye and is the best I have ever tasted. My girlfriend had the ham hock & lentil soup which had a slight spice to it but added to the flavour, she then had a breakfast tower which included potato scones, bacon, black pudding and an egg in a tower.Cafe Cuil is a little expensive but I can understand with its location and locally sourced food it is really worth it. The restaurant is really cosy, dog friendly and have really comfortable seating which is great after a rainy cold day of exploring the area.

A great place to stop to hide from the never ending rain! Can recommend the beef brisket toastie, the fries, the white chocolate and raspberry muffin and the lemon shortbread, all delicious! 😋 we had a great view of Loch Harport and the surrounding hills too! ⛰️

Had a delicious late lunch here after a hard drive over from Applecross. The friendly (and very handsome) waiter was quick to seat us and got us our drinks while we had a look at the menu. Loads of great stuff to choose from! In the end I went for a tasty cauliflower and chive fritter with crowdie and peas, it was lovely to see this Scottish cheese being used inventively and the plate looked amazing! Coffee was great and all very reasonable prices. Highly recommend this cùil wee spot to anyone and everyone heading to Skye.

This cafe is perfectly located on the Isle of Skye! It was a nice break from the rain and while the portion size of the drinks was small, it was very good quality. I ordered a chai latte and it was the best thing to warm me up!

It was surprisingly difficult to find a cafe that did a good hot breakfast, and that you could sit in, but Cafe Cùil was perfect. We had the tattie scone stack and some baked goods. It was all excellent. Great service, too!

We came across Cafe Cuil on our return to the main road from the Fairy Pools. The place is spotless with plenty of tables and good parking .We chose from the all day menu, one bacon and egg sandwich which was soo tasty and a roast potato hash, both presented beautifully, 2 decaf lattes and takeaway vegan chocolate cake and raspberry and white chocolate muffin..The staff were excellent and prices were reasonable too.Would highly recommend a visit if on the western side of the Isle of Skye

We enjoyed our visit this week so much that we’ve been back already! Both times the food was delicious and the service efficient and friendly. Lovely room, views and accessible. Thank you 😊

Incredible food in an incredible setting! Had the beef brisket rarebit which was so delicious (see the pic). My partner had the tattie scone stack. Both of us were blown away by the food. Lovely space as well and the view over the loch was magical. Can't wait to go back!

Fabulous place on the way back from Talisker. An absolute gem, excellent food and fantastic service! Quality of food was second to none and very reasonably priced. The hot trout on sourdough was excellent.

I wanted to dislike this place as it took over an hour to get our food, and service was all over the place. However the food was really quite good, so it made up for it. Was too hungry to snap a picture of the Veggie Haggis, pork baguette (huge!), and gingerbread, but at least here is one of the cauliflower and chive fritters. Large portions so thankfully we got everything to go. Lots of veg friendly options and super fresh tasting. Just be warned of the slow service. Super convenient location post Fairy Pools visit with nice outdoor seating.
