I love this cafe, it's part of the Tiso store so lots of lovely outdoor gear to look at. The staff a friendly and the food was very tasty. There were several vegan options, nice to have a choice. I could sit and look at the view of the Cairngorms from the window all day.

Very expensive sandwiches (£7 really??). Cake was tasty but the hot drinks (coffees and hot chocolates) were pretty bland and not good

·

Terrible food, not what it used to be. All food now appears to be pre-made and heated to order. Hardly any filling in the toasties. The good reviews are from last year and not comparable to the current standards.

Nice place, clean and tidy. The service was really slow, but they are looking for staff. I had a pie, tasty but burnt. The elderflower tea was delicious, so was the scone and jam. Couldn't see a menu except what was written on the cabinet. Saw someone with soup, but didn't see it advertised.

Totally underwhelmed, given the ratings it has. Won’t be rushing back. It was great you can take the dog but I don’t even think our dog enjoyed the experience as where we found a clear table of dirty plates, the dog stood as there was no where under table to lie down.

Part of Tiso's outdoor shop in the center of Aviemore. Resonably priced with usual selection of coffees and other beverages. A range of cakes toasties and lovely tray bakes on offer. It reminds me of Costa but with added soup and much better views.

Nice coffee, good sausage rolls and a nice setting. Lost a star purely as we weren't sure if it was table service or counter. Staff didn't really say anything as we stood and the signs weren't very clear. Would still go back no doubt though.

After finishing a long rewarding day in the mountains, this is definitely the best place to relax and have some delicious warm comfort food. I would highly recommend their soup and a sandwich offer, their soup was extremely flavoursome and hearty and the sandwich was to die for (bacon, brie and cranberry). I visit this place every time I am in the area.

Yesterday on our way home we've stopped for a lunch with our 2 collie dogs. I'm glad we decided to go to Explorer Cafe as it was amazing! Delicious food, great cake and fantastic service. Everyone was really helpful and dogs enjoyed their plate of food. Thank you!

A bit hidden up stairs in tiso, but worth hunting down.Good and well priced coffee, with a fantastic view out to Cairngorm wasenough to convince me to return later for lunch. The food was fantastic, but be warned, big potions, evenwith a big appetite from a run I found the burger hard to finish! All of the party enjoyed there food. There is a small, but more than adequate soft area that the kids enjoyed while waiting for there food, and again after while we finished off.Great food and drink and friendly staff, could not ask for more.Possibly a new favourite in Aviemore😁
