Just back from the Garth hotel.Had an excellent stay,room was lovely with coffee machine and Netflix on the telly.King size bed was so comfortable.Now the food which was the best tasting food we have had on our travels portions were great.Breakfast was superb only moan was portions were too much for us.But great value.Staff were great made sure our stay was brilliant.Would recommend the Garth hotel,me and the wife will definitely be back great base to see the area.

We had a lovely afternoon tea here. Great homebakes, sandwiches and soup. Everything was nice and fresh with plenty tea and coffee.The staff were really nice and friendly.The place was spotlessly clean with plenty sanitizer in multiple places.Highly recommended

Popped in for a drink in the bar one afternoon and were made very welcome, including our dog. Booked for dinner the next night - really lovely food and good service. Thank you.

Hotel staff are lovely, amazing food and nice decor. However and it's a small however the cleniness of the bedroom could be better. Hole in my duvet and cob webs in the ceiling. Would visit again.

Arrived as a party of 12, for dinner, with 1 being a wheelchair user. Staff were there straight away with a ramp as there were a couple of steps. Great menu with some different choices and food was excellent, no complaints at all. Staff were friendly, helpful and prompt without being obtrusive. Would definitely recommend.

Stopped in at the Garth for Sunday lunch and we weren't disappointed. Lovely atmosphere, the staff very friendly and food very good. We had the roast Beef and roast Pork with all the trimmings followed by steamed date pudding. Very good indeed.

Booked the Garth Hotel for a 3 day break left on day 2. 1st room we were offered room 15 if anyone is interested was above the kitchen the noise from the kitchen fan & smell from the kitchen was awful. We were unable to have our window open due to these issue asked for a fan from reception to be told we don't supply fans was not very happy to hear this so we asked to be moved we were given a bigger room only to have a yet another fan outsider and also another rooms extractor fan going round till 2.30am. The hotel its self has so much potential but the mould in the rooms on the roof and spots in bathroom don't cut it for me. I do love the touch of fresh milk in the rooms but I do think a small fridge in the room could stop the milk from smelling in the small flask. Were do I start with the food its just amazing locally sourced products cooked to perfection excellent staff kitchen and waiter staff are just amazing breakfast is amazing. On site car parking is a bonus. This hotel is really nice just needs a good renovation some small minor tweeks in the rooms and its could be a winner. I give full credit to the management team who helped us in our short stay and with all our faults and issues we had
