Girvans in Highland

Always a pleasure coming to Girvans ,service excellent especially the manageress of the place well looked after!had battered haddock and chips and my son cheeseburger and chips simply good honest food would highly recommend

It was a cold, snowy day and this restaurant is very cosy inside. I was glad to be seated before 12noon as it was pretty busy and people were waiting for a table. The menu choices are extensive but I went for one of the specials lamb curry and rice. The lamb was tender and it was quite spicy just what you need on a cold day. Despite people waiting we were not rushed away and they seemed happy to wait, that tells you this is a good restaurant. The lady serving us was extremely chatty and welcoming. I have no hesitation recommending this place.

I ordered Vegetarian Enchiladas, Chips and Coffee Latte.I do not know, what it was but definitely it was not enchiladas! It was eatable, but was not tasty. It was spicy. In menu was not information about spicy meal.Chips was not taste. Was too dry and too hot.Latte was just ok.2 stars - it was warm and it was not burned.

A little wait at the door for a table to come free was well worth it. Our waitress was cheery, bright and efficient. Our food was with us without delay and it was wonderful. A perfect serving from a fantastic menu, loads to choose from without going over the top. And to finish probably the best home made meringue I have ever tasted. Brilliant, can't wait to come again.

Breakfast was superb. Friendly staff nice setting and if you fancy a cake and coffee they are amazing.

Nicely laid out and relaxed venue for a bite to eat or coffee and cake. Lovely friendly staff. Seemed very busy which is a good sign but might mean a wait at certain times. Cakes looked amazing. Soup of the day was good and tasted homemade. Highly recommended.

Amazing food absolutely delicious

Delicious breakfast and super friendly service at Girvans …. Wish we’d had room for one of the fabulous looking cakes- we’ll have to come back for one of those soon!

What's there not to like. The staff is very sweet and the food is amazing. Big portions so have to be careful if you want to save space for dessert

This place is an absolute gem! Had breakfast as well as dinner here and all meals have been delicious. Staff is super friendly and one can feel that everyone enjoys working at Girvans. Also the ambience made us feel super cozy and relaxed. Will def. recommend this place!!
