Excellent service from the moment we arrived, traditional Scottish decor, fabulous surroundings, glorious food and amazing nature and wildlife-we saw a red deer on the front lawn! Would not hesitate to stay again!

It was our trip to Scotland and we picked this lovely hotel to celebrate our 25th anniversary. We would like to thank to all the hotel team, they just went far beyond and over with everything. Staff is just amazing. We had room with outstanding view and all amenities are high quality. Dinner... oh, never had such a lovely steak before, exactly as I like. Fish also very tasty. All food, drinks and service are at the highest standards. Dog friendly hotel with lot of walking paths. Parking free of charge. Breakfast included. Hotel is located close to lake cruises pier and also to the famous viaduct. We will definitely be back!

We only stopped for a quick drink and an opportunity to let our dog stretch his legs after a long time in the car. The staff were very polite and friendly. Beautiful location by the loch. The food looked delicious. We will try and pop in again soon. Highly recommended.

Visited Glenfinnan House Hotel for lunch twice recently while on holiday in Scotland (came back a second time because it was so nice the first time!). The food was excellent on both occasions along with super friendly service from the staff. Its a beautiful spot looking out over a loch.

We stayed at Glenfinnan House hotel for one night on the 9th Aug and unfortunately we did not have a memorable experience for the right reasons. Firstly I would like to say that the location is stunning and the two girls working in the dining area very helpful. This hotel has all the ingredients to be a real gem but sadly the management is really lacking.I booked our room a while ago for a special night for my boyfriend’s birthday and had emailed in advance asking if they could put a candle or something similar in dessert which I was told was no problem. Sadly this didn’t materialise. I had also seen on the confirmation email that they offer help to take bags to and from the station. I emailed the day before asking if this was possible but had no response. I could just about understand the lapse in communication which meant we had to walk our bags down, however, the reply I had when I asked if they could help us on the uphill return to the station on checking out was actually quite bizarre. The very blunt lady at reception just replied that they couldn’t and wouldn’t help and it’s not a service they offer (even though she then admitted they had done so for 22 years but had recently stopped doing so) she then answered ‘do you expect my staff to drive you up in their personal cars’ and ‘we are not a starred hotel so we don’t offer such services’. She was immovable in offering any helpful suggestions and I just overall found her manner very odd, rude and unhelpful.Furthermore my partner is exempt from wearing a mask and we informed the staff who checked us in on this. On coming down to dinner the ‘charming’ lady at reception shouted out across the lounge for him to put on a mask. This was both embarrassing and just unprofessional. She then insisted he (again) show his exemption card.Simply put, it was not the lack of help that was itself uncomfortable but the strange and hostile manner of the lady at reception. I suggest they are more explicit on their website in informing customers that they do not offer any services (taking bags to rooms, helping with luggage, accommodating extra requests) before they check in. The hotel itself could really be something special but could do with a face lift and some better staff training. On a positive note I would like to say that the dinner was delicious and the chef obviously well accomplished.

We were lucky enough to get married at Glenfinnan House Hotel 6 years ago. Finally made it back there to celebrate our anniversary and it was perfect, as always. The surroundings are beautiful, the food is something special and everyone there is so friendly. Can't wait to go back again.
