Easily the best B&B I have ever stayed in, and I've stayed in many over the years. I was very early, but I was warmly welcomed by Les and quickly given a dram of the local whisky. You can opt to have your evening meal at the B&B and I thoroughly recommend that you do. Les and John are superb hosts, truly lovely people. And Les can't half cook! Handy hint - it's best to make sure that you don't need to drive anywhere too early the next day!All in all, a superb place to stay and a B&B that truly feels like home.

for fun loving souls. Excellent hospitality. Salt of the earth hosts.

This is the best guest house I've ever stayed it. Les is so friendly and welcoming. The rooms are beautifully decorated. The mattresses so comfortable and the quality of bedding was to die for.Once I visited new places, I like to move on and explore new areas, but to this one, we will be back!

If you are planning to visit the Cairngorms then you MUST stay at Gordon House in Tomintoul. The warmest welcome ever! I was immediately given a dram of local whisky and dinner after a long journey. If you are looking for good food, lively conversation, a load of laughs and a room with an amazing view, then come here. I am already planning to return in the Autumn. Hosts Les and John are now firm friends!

This is our home from home! From the minute we walked in the door we felt part of the family. The rooms are lovely and immaculately clean with a good view of the cairngorm national park, the beds were that perfect balance of not too hard or too soft.I can't praise the breakfast enough. Les is completely to blame for my not fitting in my trousers when I got home again! You can eat the evening meal with them for a small amount extra if you don't want to worry about finding somewhere in the village or Grantown-on-spey, and she even offers a pack up service for lunch - perfect if you are planning on making the most of the countryside. We used the family suite, a double bedroom connected to a room with 3 single beds with a shared bathroom between them. This isn't your hotel chic, but a good old style family bed and breakfast. If you want to feel like you are at home rather than in an impersonal hotel then I can't recommend this place enough. However if you want a tv in every room, beige and to feel like just another body through the doors, it isn't the place for you!The B&b is a converted pub dating back to the 1700s at least, with thick stone walls and they have kept the wooden bar, turning into a lovely breakfast bar around the kitchen area. You can feel the ghosts of a million shouted "slaintè"

I stayed here in February 19. Doesn't look the best on the outside, but everything and more from the hosts.
