I have been several times and not once had a negative experience. The staff are lovely and don't rush you through your dinner, they check in just the right amount of times and even checked that we hadn't just put food in our mouths before asking if we were OK.

I didn't eat here and frankly glad I didn't, turned up at 8 asking for a table for 3...some staff looking at each other until after a couple of minutes deciding to sit us down...apparently shut at 9 which was made abundantly clear...went to table but frankly bad attitude 😒..so decided not to bother..business must be booming!!..why not just say we are closing at 9 instead of mucking about...absolutely dire ..no idea about food etc but frankly I would not bother ..staff standing around waiting to go home....avoid

Had an evening meal here on January 17, 2022. Friendly and prompt service but the food leaves a lot to be desired. For the prices they charge I would have expected far better quality food. Unfortunately, a not particularly enjoyable and therefore rather forgettable experience.

Had a meal here included as part of my stay at the hotel. The service was friendly and efficient. The atmosphere is OK but I am not sure the furnishings are quite up to the a la carte menu prices. The haggis neaps and tatties was pleasant enough but could have been hotter. The steak pie had really good meat but old pastry. It was a bit hit and miss overall and had I paid full price I probably would have expected a little more.

I've never had this thought before, but I think I just got scammed by a restaurant. Pretty sure all the food I ate was cooked before it entered the restaurant and they just warmed it up. Staff was not at all interested to seat or greet me. Rude tone to just about every person that came up to the bar to order a drink. Half the place was empty because they claimed it was reserved, but it's well into the night to if it was reserved that party would have been sitting down. Also, not a nice place considering it claims to be high end. You would think with the amount of money they scam people for overpriced food they could do some improvements to the place. The place is too far gone without new ownership/management.

We came here for a free 2 course meal and cocktail when staying at the royal highland hotel. I had the chicken pakora for main and my partner had the tempura prawns both nice but the soy sauce dip with the prawns was very salty. For main I had the steak pie and my partner had the chicken pie both nice and good portions. Free meal and drinks as well so can’t complain 👍🏻

Where to start. Dreadful service and inflexibility! We booked 4 months previous and advised we were vegan and booked an evening meal. The hotel responded and said this was no problem. On coming into the restaurant we were given a menu that had one option..... some deep fried vegetables! When we questioned it we were met with a non apologetic restaurant manager who claimed his chef was unable to make something vegan. The menu was all he could follow. This restaurant charges top prices for a chef who cant even make vegan pastry!. Unbelievable and certainly a restaurant to give a miss. Would not recommend vegan or not!

WALK AWAY! I want to first start out stating we stopped here only because our other choice was closed. We saw an advertisement on the side of their building, and decided to check it out. After being seated, immediately a waiter came over asking for drinks, when were hadn't even had a chance to look at menus. We had to ask the waiter about the deal we had seen advertised, no expansion upon any other deals or mention of the daily specials. We got our starter fairly quickly as well as first round of drinks. The main meal took MUCH longer to come out than it should have considering the simplicity of noodles, marinara and mushrooms. Then when it came, it didn't come with the bread or parmesan that the menu stated. Even ignoring that, the meal was overall blah, nothing special or memorable in any way. The cocktails are off, not worth even ordering. I highly recommend skipping this place, even if it seems to be a good deal, DON'T DO IT! JUST DON'T!

We had the pre theatre menu here and the food looks amazing. Had the Chilli chicken skewers and tempura of tiger prawns for appetizer, they were both OK. And then we ordered the north sea haddock and chips and glenmorangie chicken. The chicken was good. The haddock was not. The plate looked so appealing but one bite on the fish and you can tell that it wasn't fresh. It was so fishy, I couldn't even make myself to keep eating. Was very disappointed as it was my first attempt to try "fish and chips".
