Great place for a cozy stay and delicious breakfast! The hotel has a lounge which is amazing for a little chill and relaxing. Warm hospitality from Silke, the manager was an experience to treasure. Among the other staff members, Marie who served us dinner, and Rachael who provided us with a sumptuous breakfast were equally warm. Along with the classic decor and hospitality, the hotel is a must stay for travellers going to the Isle of Skye.

Had an amazing meal here for the last evening of our visit to Skye.. the food was first class, beautiful presentation and tasted amazing and the staff were just the best there is; warm, friendly and attentive. Thanks so much, hopefully be back again some time

Staying locally and we dropped in for breakfast. The food, service and setting were just perfect.Additionally we had a major issue with our car - dealer had fitted incorrect number plates - and although not staying with them, they supported us and let us arrange for number plates to be sent to them. We met with real genuine kindness here and will quite definitely come and stay at some point in the near future. If you are looking for an hotel where staff care about you as a person and really are lovely people, this is the place to go! It is also a really lovely hotel snd has stunning views.

The most expensive, but least welcoming place of the stay in Scotland. The sea view room had a glimpse in the distance of water through a small window. The rooms adequate size, though in no way spacious as one would expect for the premium being paid. The rooms themselves were done up to the proverbial nines with modern decor, but that does not make up for an extremely small bathroom or lack of storage. There were adequate power points for charging your devices, including ones adjacent to a desk. The WiFi signal was Ok throughout, but speed seemed to be poor most of the time. The selection of food for breakfast was adequate, but the quality and preparation was lacking. How can you make cold eggs, burnt and cold toast, undercooked or other burnt or overcooked items. Oh, the fruit salad for breakfast ended up being almost all watermelon with half a grape and a few slices of apple. This was extremely poor and the biggest let down for the most expensive place.

Amazing staff, amazing room, and amazing food. The staff were welcoming and extremely friendly and we felt right at home here. Once we entered our room, we were extremely happy because it was both clean and beautiful in general. However, the best thing about this hotel was the food. It was absolutely delicious.

A very small bedroom & ensuite but well-equipped. .Lots of stairs and all a bit pretentious and over-priced.We, unfortunately, made a prior reservation for dinner which was very ordinary. Half-cooked pork loin with limp crackling and uninteresting haddock! However, the breakfast was fantastic! The staff tried very hard but their inexperience was fairly obvious.

This hotel is easy to get to when coming off the ferry at Malaig. It is also right beside a new distillery that's open for tours. The room we stayed in was lovely and is the one shown on their brochure. The only real downside to the room was the mattress. It is quite low and if they put another mattress on top, it would be the right height and more comfortable to sleep on.The food was outstanding. Breakfast and dinner was made from an award winning chef. The staff are amazing. Sarah helped to check us in, show us to our room, offer us to come down to the sitting room to enjoy the coal lit fire for a cup of tea or a drink from the bar. She also gave us some suggestions of where to tour around Skye the following day.We were greeted by Neil the following morning. He was exceptionally hospitable, friendly and quite funny. He reviewed the comments we received from Sarah of where to travel on the island and concurred with her comments and offered a few more. He wanted to ensure we got the most of our visit and enjoyed all that Skye had to offer to see. We were not disappointed with either of their recommendations.Thank you for making our stay in skye really welcoming! From your Canadian friends... one of whom is “allergic” to brussels sprouts!

We have been doing a 2 week tour of the west cost of Scotland staying in different hotels each night, unfortunately this hotel would be better suited in the centre of Glasgow, the noise from the kitchen and staff kept me up until midnight, the breakfast was full of salt and nearly inedible, both rooms and food vastly overpriced, and staff gave inaccurate information when booking! I don't do reviews as I feel it unfair however I am so disappointed by my experience I felt others should be warned!

THANK YOU FOR A DELIGHTFUL EXPERIENCEWe stayed for one night in this beautiful and elegant hotel. The room was spacious, tastefully furnished and well equipped. All staff members were friendly, attentive and welcoming making one feel immediately at ease. The icing on the cake however, was the superb evening meal we had – it was an experience in itself with every mouthful bursting with taste and unusual flavour combinations. Richard Massey, the chef clearly deserves his recent award. This was fine dining without the affectation and pomposity of similar meals we have experienced in the past.Breakfast too, was superb with a good choice of cereals and fruit juice followed by coffee, toast and a varied selection of cooked dishes using local ingredients. We chose poached egg on smoked haddock – absolutely yummy, thank you.
