Fantastic food, well worth the visit if you enjoy a tasting menu of next level foodOnly bit I missed was a little explanation of what was on the plate rather than "here is the lobster dish" , which fine dining places love doing typically

I find it strange in this day and age a restaurant can survive by never answering the phone to book a table for a meal, even if you turn up no staff there to serve even a coffee in the afternoon even though the place was open. Skye depends on tourism to survive and with customer service like this god help them. They should close the Skye bridge down and let them see how they like that.

We had the most amazing meal at Loch Bay yesterday evening. We received such a warm welcome and the atmosphere was so lovely and relaxed. The food was absolutely delicious - we loved every course. We also went for the wine flight which was perfect.Well worth it for a special meal.

Outstanding.Remote location which is settled within a row of fisherman cottages. Cosy, romantic and professional. We arrived during the covid fallout. Only 2 staff - chef Michael Smith and front of house. Both looking after 4 tables. Everything was respectful, friendly and unpretentious. We were lucky to experience a seafood extravaganza of a tasting menu. As expected the ingredients and produce is fresh and matched with delightful wines. Chef treats you to a flavourable trip around Skye's best offerings from the sea.In particular the happiness of tasting the Langoustine bisque will stick in the memory. Then we were later spoiled with a half bay lobster with chanterelles.I understand the buzz surrounding the restaurant and it certainly backs this up. Enjoy.

Amazing location and amazing food. Excellent Covid planning and our 2nd trip here. Our first trip was excellent but this was a whole other level. One of the best meals I've ever had.

There are very few places that nail it, Loch Bay wears it's heart on its sleeve. This is not a pretentious Michelin Star resteraunt. This is a warm hug from your granny who also happens to be the best cook for a lifetime. The staff a so friendly and took great care of us on our anniversary. There is a real family atmosphere here with the whole resteraunt feeling like you are a home from home. The food is second to none whether you go al a cart or sample the sea food tasting menu. It really is an absolute joy.

Had a wonderful experience at loch bay. The food was superbly prepared and the combination of the different foods was extraordinary. The service was great and the atmosphere is cosy since there are only around 20 seats. The location is quite remote If you're not staying in the village. A must go when visiting isle of Skye. Remember to book well in advance.

This was a lovely meal. Each course was well cooked and encorporated excellent flavours that were well matched. The pigeon starter was especially excellent. To top it off, the gave me a little extra for my birthday !

This place is all that is right about the food scene in Scotland. Amazing local produce cooked to perfection. The seafood was incredible. It’s a nice relaxed and slightly less formal setting in beautiful Stein in Waternish. The food is simply stunning and would recommend the tasting menu. This place deserves all the plaudits it has rightly been receiving. The bar selection is also fantastic and the service was perfect. Book a trip to Skye to come here!
