LochLeven Seafood Cafe in Highland

Came on a Monday evening for dinner, really friendly waitress and I would recommend visiting. Good recommendations if you're not sure on what to have. We ordered a lemon sole and garlic roast butter langoustines, both very tasty. Scissors and utensils given for the langoustines which made it easier. Ordered a Cullen skink soup and a side of potatoes as well for dipping into the sauce.My only grip is that not all of the langoustines were 100% fresh and it was little pricey, but I couldn't fault the service and overall experience to rate lower. Would have loved to visit at lunchtime for a different menu and their little shop.Save room for dessert, we had a ginger sponge and a chocolate ginger tart, both outstanding.

Some fantastic local shelfish here at the café. The shop is worth a visit too! Could use more napkins because it can be messy eating! Prompt service and a great location for a special occasion.

this is the best seafood restaurant i have tried in UK.very simple presentation but with excellent quality and quantity.Especially the razor clams and the scallops, good price excellent quality.highly recommend.location may be a bit difficult to find as i come in winter time for dinner, but if you come during day time or summer time with sunlight, the view should be wonderful.Service is very good too. definitely will keep coming whenever i travel to highland.

This was a fantastic meal. Some of the best seafood I ever had to be honest. I hope this place is still easy to get a table when I visit next. Thank you for an incredible lunch.

Nice cafe restaurant with good quality food and staff were friendly and accommodating. Note that it's opened later than the Google page says! The attached pics are the baked seafood platter for two, although we asked for the oysters separately and not baked, which they happily provided. The overall portion size was massive, we ended up leaving quite a few mussels and clams and bits which was a shame. Turns out you can fill up on shellfish!

Absolutely worth it place for an experience! Fresh seafoods sourced locally. Was recommended by a friends friend for a must experience whilst in Scotland. Drove 4 hours from Aberdeen just to try it. Family enjoyed and loves it. Overlooking Loch Leven. Booking in advance is a must to avoid disappointment. Closed every Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Staff very friendly. Covid rules apply. Mask required. Very highly recommended and will be back soon.

Absolutely phenomenal food, anything less than 5 stars will do no justice to this place. Service feels a bit rushed but considering the amount of people that come in and out is understandable. Best meal we had during our stay in Scotland.

Five out of five for the quality of the food here. You must come to this place if you are visiting. The oysters were SO delicious as were the cooked langoustine. All set in a lovely place facing a big mountain and the loch.

Fantastic fish and seafood. All cooked to perfection and beautifully presented. Nice atmosphere and beautiful views. Friendly staff. Would have been a 5 star review but coffees were poor. Expresso had no substance and my flat white was wishy washy and frothy. Couldn't actually drink mine and when I did tell waitress her answer was that she didn't make it, perhaps offering to make me another would have been a better answer.Won't put me off returning as have visited before but will avoid a coffee next time .
