Macdui's in Highland

Tried to visit here tonight but I can’t even comment on the food or drink as we were completely ignored! They had a sign up saying tables wouldn’t be available for 30 minutes, but with no knowledge if this was put up 5 minutes or 40 minutes ago I waited for a member of staff at the door to not only be ignored by everyone but also had a member of staff walk around me to tell someone else to not bother coming in with their luggage before walking away again. I’d have felt less bothered if they slapped me in the face for my audacity at even thinking I was deserving of a minute of their time and punted out the door.

Really great place! It was our first time and we were positively surprised. The staff was very friendly and attentive. They gave us some recommendations which was nice. The food was amazing 👏 The place seems to be very popular so if you plan to visit make sure to go before evening hours.

Nice diner/ pub. Good prices and friendly people. I came here twice. I don't do that if it's no good. And again they had full house. Second evening I had the grilled chicken burger which was fantastic.

Great choice for a quick dinner. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, good choice of food for kids and grownups.Kids had the macncheese and fishnchips. Portions were good and big, food was not salty, nice touch by the kitchen staff!Grownups had the venison burger and baked haddock and theey both were made well, portions were big enough to make you feel full.Starters were pretty good size also, all in all, the food side was lovely.Great wee restaurant.

First time visit. Dog friendly. Had the mac and cheese and chips lovely big serving. My partner had fish and chips, both where very happy. Luna enjoyed her biscuit also. Staff were lovely and welcoming.

Loved this place! Staff were so friendly and fun! The food was great. Highly recommend this as part of your stay in Aviemore!

Friendly service and good, traditional food. The "chilli jam" that came with the camembert was definitely just strawberry jam with chilli flakes in it. But they get points for improvisation. Excellent sticky toffee pudding.

We had a really pleasant time here. Food was simple pub grub, beer reasonable and staff bright and friendly. Definitely recommend if you're in the area

Lovely food, nice setting and excellent service.We were lucky to get a last chance table where all other local restaurants & pubs were full.Unfortunately because it was late and busy a few of the menu options were unavailable, so I had the gammon (which came with 2 eggs!) and my partner had a thick (was told yummy) burger!The tap lager was nice too.The staff were very busy but friendly and always managed to get us sorted.

Lovely meal, was told be a while for food as a queue infront of us, but was really quick, meal was lovely and very good portion size.
