Mr Rice in Highland

After using this place for 30 years I have just received shocking customer service as well as the quality of food going way down hill . What a shame used to be really good . Shall be looking for a new take away Chinese .

Nice food but expensive for portion size

Ordered duck and plum sauce, a disgrace. It was a bottle of tomato ketchup with vinegar. We phoned to explain we would take it back as it was disgraceful which the receptionist agreed to.We took it down and the receptionist agreed it was disgusting.An Asian woman came from the kitchen and started shouting at us saying no refund. Turned her back on us, stood shouting in her native language.They then offered a partial refund as one piece of duck had been eaten.Avoid at all costs!!!!

Normally buy from Mr rice all the time always nice. Tonight noodle off, king prawn balls double cooked and chips double cooked. Spare ribs burnt and sweet and sour sauce jus watery and vinegar. Phoned and they wanted me to return which would mean a forty round trip. Said they couldn't give refund till they seen the food. When I said we ate some he then said well that's different. I said I am only phoning to let them know and I was not going to drive forty miles. He was not willing to hear about the food and the standards. Sadly will not go back.

Had to give 1* to be able to warn people. Waited 2 hours last night for delivery, luke warm but guy was gone so fast. Dished half of chick curry rice n chips, half way through I found a small sharp cocktail stick. Terrible customer service when I phoned 15 mins later, too busy !! Went back with the leftovers and not believed about stick. Eventually was offered meal..NO THANKS and got refund. Long time customer, and often order here but wont be back following the bad customer service . I could have choked or been injured, have photos if there is a complaints place for this .

Delicious, we are here for a break away and fancied a Chinese for tea. Was delivered quickly and everyone happy with the meal. Chicken and cashew nut was best I’ve had in a long time and my son loved the aromatic crispy duck. Defonrecomend.

Had the sweet & sour chicken. The sauce looked as unusual (deep red!) as it tasted. The rest was okay. Will try some of the other better rated takeaways..

Would give them zero stars if I could. Ordered Special Satay yesterday 25th October along with chips. Was over £11 including delivery and there was no fried rice with it. Total rip off. Will be taking my custom elsewhere from now on. Seems like businesses are putting up their prices during the pandemic and the service is getting worse!

Delicious Chinese food and great customer service. Ordered spicy ribs and chefs special rice was delicioys. Rice portion was massive. Lady who took order helped us to arrange delivery to or hotel. Highly recommend this take away.

Had a takeaway from here tonight, I’ve not used mr rice in years and on the off chance thought I’d give it a try. Food was absolutely disgusting I’d give zero stars if I could. Rice was burnt, chips were soggy, chicken balls weren’t edible. Dog got it, I’ll never be back.
