Mr Tan in Highland

Amazing is the word. Had the set meal for 2, with salt and pepper ribs. Service was excellent and food was absolutely delicious. Definitely be back next time we are in Nairn.

Lovely chinese, best king prawn curry I've had in ages. Very reasonable prices and staff couldnt of been more helpful. Will definitely be back 👍

Ordered pick up a number of times, foods been good, not much to write home about.

Unfortunately Worst Chinese meal I've ever had! I ordered chicken chow mein. Dry strips of chicken, a LOT of noodles. That was it. My son had chicken curry, chicken was questionable, a bit slimy and undercooked. Used to be such a good Chinese, not now tho. ☹️

If you are getting an online delivery it doesn't seem to let you order to ardersier, although the choice is given. It is easier phoning them. Set meal for 2 is a really good deal.

Update: the place is under new management (same name, but Mr Tan and family aren't there) and no longer offers gluten free.Mr Tan is an absolute babe, especially as he'll make anything you want gluten free. Even when I forget to say gluten free, he reminds me or makes it gf anyway, which has saved me on at least 3 occasions. Only had a mixed up order once (due to a large order and unclear phone connection) which was quickly rectified with no fuss. For those who like things spicier or milder, if you ask, Mr Tan will do just that! Great service, his family are wonderful, and I've still yet to find something to complain about!

Good looking chips rice and bbq sauce here.... apart for one thing no sauce and when I phone to ask if they can send someone down with some he said I'd have to come back up for some. That's why I choose to go to lucky house. Shame thought I'd give tans a chance again... mistaken!

I completed a big bike ride and was extremely hungry, so decided to opt for a takeaway. It was difficult to find details of what was available in Nairn, and whether places had reopened, but Mr Tan's appeared in the recommendations.We had a mixed starter and I had beef with blackbean sauce. The meals were good, with big portions and plenty of veg including a lot of onions. The beef was gristly and quite chewy, which let it down slightly, but the sauce was good.A positive experience, with generous portions, but just short of 5 stars.

Asian food 100% my favourite so always hunting for the best of everything in an all round menu. Look no further than Mr Tans. I can honestly say it has a lot to offer in quality and its very good. I like consistency not just a hit and a miss and I've not been disappointed once. Piping hot always. Flavour for days and just well cooked with great ingredients. Very meh. Depends what night you order. Sometimes there food is brilliant, but other times it’s not so good. Although I’ve actually had a chicken curry where the chicken was raw, we’ve had some good meals. So, it’s luck of the draw if you get a good meal.
