Lovely situation with splendid views. Helpful friendly staff front of house. I was not a resident but booked for an evening meal on recommendation.Good to big portions, reasonable value too, we have very nice starters, scallops and smoked salmon and would recommend them.Unfortunately the mains were very poor hence three stars. Duck was not rendered and was very chewy, the mash had hard lumps. The fish and chips, the cod was lovely but batter was disappointingly soggy and the chips were clearly frozen which is understandable given the remote location (we originate from the outer hebrides so appreciate the difficulties of supply), but they were also very soggy. The pea puree however was fabulous. We should have raised this after the first mouthful but persevered and didn't want to cause a fuss. More the fool us. We will know next time.In short, the experience was disappointing for the food but there was a very good choice so perhaps avoid the duck.

Comfy, clean and beautiful view. Stopped for a night of comfort whilst touring the NC500. Room was warm and cosy, and the large bath was a pleasant and much needed suprise! Great selection on dinner menu, and very well stocked bar (including a good alco-free selection). Breakfast was great - big selection on hot menu, and fruit, yogurt, granola to help yourself. All staff were incredibly friendly. Would definitely stay again. Thanks!

Hotel over looking the sea.Arrived early evening, the first Impression was it was clean and well presented. Man at reception went over the formalities of checking in, evening meal and breakfast. The room was of a nice size, with a very nice bathroom which looked new. Room had all that we needed. The restaurant menu had a good selection and the food was well presented. Breakfast cooked to ordered, help yourself to juice and cereal. The staff where very helpful and Polite. All Covid-19 Procedures in place.

Loved it here. Stayed 3 nights, perfectly located with beautiful views & right on the edge of the Loch. Food was amazing both dinner & breakfast. But what really made it for us was the staff... everyone was amazing so hard working & attentive made us feel very special. Thank you

Only had a dinner here, 6 stars as good a meal as we could have had anywhere. Seafood menu is stunning, the dessert menu is unable to be resist. If the food wasn't good enough the views from the restaurant across the Gairloch to Skye are stunning especially when the sun sets as we were lucky to have.

We only had dinner here but the food was great, well presented, tasty food. The staff were quick, efficient and friendly. The views out of the window over the Gairloch to Skye stunning. Definitely a place to add to the list of places to stay, if the restaurant was anything to go by.

This is a fantastic hotel. All staff are hugely friendly and helpful. The whole place is spotless.Food is first class and delicious. Location overlooking the lock is perfect. The evening sun shone warm and bright and we were able to sit out on the terrace enjoying the peace and quiet after dinner.

Lovely friendly service in a modernly decorated hotel restaurant. Our table was managed by a lovely lady originally from Yorkshire. The menu has some of the usual dishes but nice to see fish pie on the menu for a change. They have an extensive range of Scottish gins to choose from as well as beer and lager on draught. You can order half portions of the main menu dishes if you have children or don't have a big appetite. Great views if you're lucky enough to get a table by the window. We may be back for a drink tomorrow.
