Old Pines in Highland

We had an incredible time here. The staff was more than inviting and the rooms were cozy. Definitely was a great experience for American travelers.

Some of the food was not quite expected. Thing were spicy and not mentioned so on the menu. Tasty food, and a great sophisticated atmosphere though.

Brilliant staff, home made gluten free bread and scones. That tasted so good I got the recipe. Service was 5 star all the way. . Nothing was a problem. Would definitely recommend

Best restaurant food I have had for years! Halibut with chickpea cassoulet and venison chorizo absolutely delicious. Cheese and homemade oatcakes also very nice. Efficient staff and lovely big shower in the room.

What a wonderful discovery Old Pines Lodge Hotel was. A cosy and comfortable hotel room stocked with lots of thoughtful touches. The restaurant was delicious...Breakfast and Dinner was included and with two hungry boys aged 11 and 14 a highlight of each day was deciding what new things to try from the menu. Rosie and the team at Old Pines did a wonderful job looking after us. The Hotel is also in the perfect location for exploring the local area...we climbed Ben Nevis (packed lunch curtesy of the Hotel), paddle boarded in the Caledonian Canal and went Sea Kayaking in Loch Sunart. There is also a lively circular work straight from the Hotel. We had an amazing 5 days and we can't wait to come back.

Superb. Stunning location, tasteful decor, pleasant staff, small menu but outstanding food.The amuse bouche was an unexpected and delightful start to the evening. Only wish we could have visited more often.

Lovely place to stay. Beautiful views, dog friendly rooms. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Lovely bedroom and nice menu, can eat in restaurant or room. Dogs not allowed in restaurant. Will definitely be coming back.

Didn't stay at the hotel but had dinner. Lovely cocktails came with little snacks and a fabulous dinner. The risotto to start was amazing. Also the servers were lovely but unfortunately didn't get their names

Our dinner was fabulous! We had delicious meals, all with excellent service, and good quality wine sold by the 1/2 litre which is great if you're driving so don't want a full bottle. The portions were just right - still room for dessert but not feeling as as though the meal was too small to be satisfying. Flavours were interesting but also beautifully balanced. I wish I lived locally and could dine there more often!

We had an excellent meal here on Friday night. Delicious, mouth watering food with a good variety of dishes on the menu. The staff were attentive and pleasant. Special thanks to Imogen who was very helpful and went out of her way to accommodate us. We weren't staying at this hotel but we definitely will next time we are back in the area!
