Food and drink reviewGreat dog-friendly bar, lovely food, friendly atmosphere, quality staff and the highlight for me; Starboard! Ale from Plockton Brewery. We were staying for a week at The Shed, which is just a two minute walk away. Our dog, Glen, was made very welcome in the lovely public bar area where we could have a drink and a meal. This is a great improvement on some so-called dog friendly establishments, which turn out to be, at best, dog tolerant. [You know who you are!?]The bar staff are a mix of locals and European staff, all of whom are friendly, efficient and a good laugh. The public bar is full of character and characters. I had a drink (or two) here every day of our holiday and we also ate here on our first and 2nd last evening. The menu is great with lots of daily specials on a board. We can thoroughly recommend the Haddock and chips and the Fish pie and for dessert we had Sticky Toffee Pudding and Lemon Crunch Pie.I love my real ale so was delighted that, although it was early in the season, they had one local ale on offer; Starboard! Ale from Plockton Brewery next door to our accommodation. If you are planning to eat here then I would advise that you book ahead. Lots of tables, but even in March, mostly full. I'm sure that the same goes for the restaurant as well.

Ate here for dinner while touring Scotland and had a wonderful dinner. The Venison Ragù was excellent paired with a glass of red wine. Had the Chocolate Rum Cup for dessert - very good! I appreciated the waitress bringing the specials menu board to the table so we could reference it while ordering dinner. Lovely staff!

Amazing food and great customer service, well worth a visit (or two)! When we arrived the place was full but they made sure they found us a table, really could not fault the place.

On my tour of Plockton I stopped in here for lunch and dinner today!Nice pub local ales on tap and the food is brilliant huge portions and cooked to perfection.I had mussels to start as I am a huge mussel fan possibly the best I have ever eaten and an absolutely massive portion and for my main I tried the smocked fish cakes which were delicious.Think I will skip dessert as I am stuffed!

Booked a table for 2 online and received a courteous reply confirming the booking.Arrived a little earlier than our booking and was asked if we would like a table earlier as one was now available, perfect.Staff were very helpful and obliging, local beer was excellent and the food was absolutely delicious. A first class establishment and would happily recommend to others.

Awesome grub and great staff. Unfortunately this afternoons meal was disrupted by an extremely rude woman with a party of 8 being hostile towards staff when she was told they never had enough tables free due to reservations. Pro tip, if there are that many people in your party then book ahead, simple really. Other than that the grub was great and they're dog friendly too. Awesome.
