A disappointment overall. One of us had the tomahawk for £95 which was really good, the fillet was well cooked but not a good piece as some of it was chewy. The greatest disappointment was the sirloin steak which was overcooked (ordered medium rare and got medium at best). The waiter admitted it but the chef insisted it was perfect. The Bearnaise sauce was curled. They offered no compensation whatsoever. On top of that, they never brought the starters we ordered, for which they apologised, but we had no choice than going straight to mains. We ate at much better places in Inverness.

Fantastic food and great service. Many options on their menu but unfortunately they didn't have oysters and lobsters that we craved for that night. The trout we had was a bit overcooked but was still great. Good ambience to chill after dinner.

Enjoyable evening, fish platter starter was lovely and the ice cream is worth a visit by itself, main was fine but nothing stand out. Atmosphere and location are amazing, especially if it's nice enough to sit outside. Service was good but slow at times. Would definitely go back!!

We were in Inverness just for the day and this place came recommended by our hotel receptionist Kaya from courtyard hotel in Nairn.A lovely seafood and steakhouse with a view!!! They’ve outdoors seating as well as indoors. Although the river is on the other side of the road, you get to enjoy sitting watching the passerbys, the river view as well as seeing the castle from the restaurant. The waiters are extremely nice and ready with suggestions. We tried the cullen skink which we understood to be a local delicacy and the soup warms your heart before warming your palate and stomach! The surf and turf is a must if you want to try venison! We opted for the mussels as a starter as we were curious when we saw harrissa in the ingredients and we were not disappointed. In a nutshell, this is a must try places!

Really nice food full of flavours, and the presentation was spectacular, worth the price they are charging. Waitress was really friendly and made us feel really Welcome even though we didn't have a reservation. Deffiently will return.

Central location, right on the river. Seafood and steak restaurant with great service. Our steak was nice and pink, hagis croquet crispy and hot, gin strong. I am sorry to say i do not remember our waiter 's name, hungarian fella, the restaurant gets an extra star just for him. Thank you for making my birthday special 🤝🏼

Not very impressed with Prime Inverness because the dish my wife ate was so bad it gave her food poisoning that laid her low for a week. Their service was also slow. Simply too poor for the prices they charge.

Very poor quality of food and service. We arrived initially without a booking and was told we could not be seated due to them being fully booked. However, found lots of availability on Opentable.com, therefore booked a reservation a few minutes later and was then seated very reluctantly by the same person who told us they were fully booked. We ordered a few dishes, but the food arrived been cold and well over cooked for all the meat dishes. When we spoke to the same individual who seated us, they did not offer any replacements to any of our food and we got told that’s how it is just tough and dry. We’ve had much better food for a quarter of the price they are charging. We travelled 600miles to find such a poor service and food quality. Very disappointed.

Had a beautiful meal here in the evening and as a bonus we got £10/person off for eat out to help out as it was Thursday. Jamie, the waiter was very good although he maybe needs to trim his delivery back a wee bit. Nevertheless he worked hard for his money and could teach others a few things on customer service.Anyway, well done Prime and the chef's. Food was just lovely

Loved the food. Great for kids and adults. The Highland Spritz was a playful spin on the classic Italian aperitif. Loved the warm terrine of pork and black pudding starter. Wild pigeon and cod surf and turf was tasty. Fillet steak was perfectly rare. Nice location just on the river with seating inside and out. Friendly and attentive service. Would definitely come back.
