Excellent Sunday 3 course takeaway meal for 4 adults, everything came in large portions, selection of roasted veg, delicious yorkies, plus a veggie option for our friend. We would highly recommend the food, great value.

Had a home delivery meal from red poppies on Sunday and I have to say it was fabulous . Well packed ,clear instructions for heating ,arrived within the expected time and the ordering process was easy too. The food itself was delicious and I would really never have thought I was simply heating up a home delivery ..the venison was for me perfect ..so tender . Next time I hopefully will be visiting the restaurant to dine in but meanwhile the dine at home experience was great .Thank you.

Lovely place with great presentation of both tables and food, friendly staff and good service. Wasn't too busy when I came at around 18:30 on a weekday.Food and drinks are not cheap but definitely not overpriced. The quality and attention to detail is definitely there. There's not much to complain about - definitely worth a visit if you're willing to splash out a bit for a great meal!

My hubby and I stopped in without booking but staff accommodated us. Spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated. Smartly presented, friendly and courteous staff. Food was outstanding! We had intended only having a main course however ended up with three courses. Delicious individual flavours identified in each dish, beautifully presented, perfect portions that were tasty and piping hot. The chefs here have absolutely nailed it. Best steak I've tasted in some time and I know my steak. Exceptional cooking and service. We will return. Would definitely suggest booking in advance as we just timed it right for a table. A wee treasure in beautiful scenery too.

Great food, fabulous staff and superb service. A Gem of a restaurant in a nice countryside setting. We had a fantastic evening meal with family. Restaurant is child friendly and had a variety of options for our three fussy boys. If we are ever again in the same area we will visit again.

An unassuming little restaurant but wow the quality of food was excellent. One of the best fillet stakes i have had. Friendly staff who are engaging and cant do enough to make sure you have a nice experience. My waitress was a young woman who was full of positive energy and liked to engage you in conversation. Wow what a breath of fresh air! Wish i had remebered her name to give her the credit.

My wife and I stopped by for lunch. We shared a breaded and deep fried brie cheese appetizer, which was quite tasty. We each also ordered a roast beef with yorkshire pudding, which was excellent. Too full for dessert, though. We definitely recommend.

Great food, lovely staff. A must visit if you're in the area.

Don't let the simplicity of the menu deceive you. The food is excellent. We had soup of the day (cream of mushroom), and a ciabatta sirloin sandwich. Both outstanding, with chips, home-made bread and well-dressed salad. With a detour.
