Restaurant at Glengarry Castle in Highland

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay ... wonderful setting, comfortable room, delicious food and friendly staff, thank you!

What a lovely hotel. We only stopped there for coffee and cake while we moored on the loch but we were pleasantly surprised by both the service and our food. The building and the grounds are lovely, full of character and beautiful views over the loch.Staff were all very friendly and helpful.Just a 5 min walk through the woodland are the ruins of the old castle.Plenty of car parking at the hotel, if you are driving.

We hugely enjoyed our stay. Great rooms, marvellous meal, and a roaring fire in which to sit in front whilst drinking whisky. And a great packed lunch for us as we continued on the Great Glen Way.

Wonderful.. Best food we have had in Scotland and so far we have stayed in 7 hotels.... No MSG in the food... Set in stunning grounds... Friendly helpful staff and lovely rooms... So far our best experience...

During our family stay on Loch Oich we were warmly welcomed into the Glengarry Castle Hotel for an evening meal. The location is stunning, and the staff were most accommodating. The dinner menu provided a wide choice, and the food was delicious. The hotel also offers afternoon teas.

Very old school in design and presentation, but the service is fabulous, attentive and genuinely caring.Avoid the standard rooms which are relatively poor value you end up in the servants quarter trapsing up and down the back stairs. The better rooms are true Victorian magnificence, feel like the laird.

A superb castle hotel overlooking the loch oich, last time was 13 years ago for our honeymoon, it’s still outstanding in quality and service, particularly Donald who is an excellent host. A must if you want to de-stress and relax.

We called in on our way back from driving at Loch Ness and the homemade shortbread was delicious. Loved the ambiance and warmth of such a big old castle, like a comfy armchair welcoming you in. We’ll hopefully try to come back for a B & b experience,

Charming building, beautiful location, wonderful cuisine. The breakfasts are so generous we've hardly needed lunch. The staff really make you feel welcome.

We stopped by the hotel for lunch and were very pleased that we did. Staff were very friendly and service was excellent.We had the Walnut salad and the Beef Ragu Tagliatelle. The beef was excellent - probably one of the best I have ever had while the Walnut salad was nice and refreshing. We ended the meal with the tea & scone which was also good.Only the seating could do with an improvement....although the setting was wonderful, even if slightly inconvenient.
