Small restaurant but tasty. Not a lot of choice in the menu but quality of food is great.

Very good food. A good choice if you are tired of greasy fish and chips or other classical Scottish dishes. They really offer some cuisine : tasty, fresh a creative twist. Good location. Reasonable prices. Best to reserve as it is small and tends to be full (we are not the only ones that like it)

Inexperienced two boy waiters who tried hard but had no idea how to give good service. Show people to your seats would be a good start. Attention to detail was lacking. Chicken dish, the chicken was very dry and the pasta very oily. Salmon risotto dish was the best dish ordered. Wouldn’t return here.

I went on a weekday for a friends birthday. On first impression the restaurant is unimposing, the service was very poor the waiter messed up the drink order three times and we still got the wrong wine but I left it as I didn't want to complain when we were out for a birthday. I had to request a wine bucket which should just be automatic with white wine. The food was pretty good however a friend who was dinning with me ordered the mussels and was given a small tray for the shells no where near sufficient for the amount of shells there were. Not once did the waiter ask us how our meal was. Other diners were trying to get the attention of the waiters but they were to busy fooling around, in general just a shear lack of attention. My feed back would be, the service is lacking and I would recommend training the waiters better having someone supervise as they were just little school boys. I will not be bringing my costum back.

Great family style small restaurant in what was probably an upmarket house in days gone by. The menu caters for up and downscale eating at lunch when we dropped by. They have everything from sandwiches up to steaks and more. The chef gave a great rendition of mussels in a cream and bacon sauce, the hot smoked salmon salad was fabulous and the kids were more than satisfied by the mac'n'cheese and the burger. Our 2 year old did say the kids' burger was underseasoned and lacking in flavour, but that is a fad countrywide.

Really excellent. The king prawns are a good way to start, and the sea bass and steak are excellent. We ended with sticky toffee pudding. One of the best meals I've had.

Hit and miss dining. As a Coeliac I went with the gluten free lamb rack. Was advised they serve it pink but it was blue. Fat wasn't rendered so it was difficult to try and cut through it and not edible. But I didn't get sick so that is a bonus! Fellow diners had duck Scotch egg which was delicious but chicken breast dish to follow was very dry and a big disappointment. Other diner had steak which was very flavoursome with yummy mushrooms. So bit hit and miss. We were told there were new owners so maybe they are settling in?

I'm really amazed with this restaurant! The staff is very helpful and friendly. The food tastes amazing. There is also a good list of local whisky to try. Definitely recommend for a dinner of you're staying in Inverness!
