Rocpool Restaurant in Highland

Probably our best meal in Scotland so far! The food is just amazing, couldn’t fault it one bit. Loved the scallops and chorizo starter, the venison was so tender and melted in our mouth. The cod was flaky everything was perfect. The waiter was so friendly and nice, great wine pairing recommendations! GREAT service, and attention to detail! And the amaretto sour was delicious! Don’t forget the desserts :) if you have space for it, get the cheesecake!

The food served at Rocpool was of high standard. The starters, the 4 different main dishes and the desserts we ordered were so sumptuous and deliciously tasteful that you will want to go again. It is the finest food that I have tasted so far during my trip. The price may be on the high end but it’s worth it. Don’t give amiss to this restaurant if you are in Inverness. 🤗

This is my third visit in as many years. And I so look forward to the mixture of warmth, a sense of being treated as an adult by an adult, and such excellent food & drink. Our visit in late December ticked all the boxes. The waitress rightly advised me that the starter portions were generous, so I had two starters for my meal. What a great choice. The crab soup was out of this world! I look forward to my next visit

I felt guilty not being able to tip as I don’t carry cash so an immediate 5* review is the least they deserved. I’m only here for the day and read up reviews about this restaurant, earliest I can get in for one person is 8:30pm. However Marta and her team but especially Marta brilliantly picked up the phone and ring me I can come sooner which is a blessing as I was getting hungry. The service from every single staff was exceptional, it really was. The food though… wow wow wow, delicious, it was more filling that expected and for once I had to turn down dessert. But the scallops and the linguine was so so tasty, pasta had a bite but the freshness of the seafood was so so unbelievable. Highly recommend them, I couldn’t even know anything about them. So lovely. This is a MUST visit if you fancy high end quality seafood for reasonably price. Again the service alone was exceptional. Please bring cash to tip them if you was fully satisfied with them. Enjoy the pictures. 👌👌👌

Not so vegetarian-friendly.Meat dishes were incredible (seafood soup and beef main).Over the phone, the waitress was very friendly and said there were few vegetarian dishes but they could work with us to alter other deishes if we wanted - perfect!When at the restaurant and I asked the waiter the same question: "It is obvious on the menu which are vegetarian" as he rushed off.Not what you would expect from this kind of restaurant.The only two vegetarian dishes (other than a soup) were very tasty, but essentially cheese. The Burrata "Salad" was not a salad (see pic) and the main was fried cheese croquette-style pieces. Tasty, but very heavy on the cheese. God help any visiting vegans.

Love the food choices. Service was amazing👏. Thanks to the servers who will so helpful to meet my request of taking off the Haggis ( as I can't take any lamb meat ) so she asked the chef do a slight change of the menu choice. Was delicious 😋. Highly recommended ❤

Really lovely vibrant restaurant. Maitre d’ was super friendly and engaging with our children. Good excellent, pricey but quality and presentation up there with the price. Wine reasonable and delicious. Will certainly be returning!
