This place was recommended to us from an Inverness native colleague who used to go here a few years back. This is the smallest portion of mixed pakora we've ever seen. Six pieces 2 veg 2 mushroom and 2 chicken was yer whack for £4.50 mental! We checked the bottom of the bag incase the rest had fell out but no that was it. There was no spice involved either, even the sauce was lacking chilli. My wife had the strangest chicken chaat yet, we thought they had given us the wrong order. Usually it is marinated tandoori chicken on the bone but this was dry chicken slices in a bland sauce, weird. The poppodoms were ok though. Disappointed and hungry tonight, we both had to fill up on crisps wishing we had spent our hard earned money elsewhere.

Went there for dinner yesterday, after reading the excellent reviews online.Food quality was average, tasted nothing like authentic “Indian food”. Service was really bad (the server was on the verge of being rude), it took more than 70min to get our main course (which we were expecting due to the rush, and Covid issues), however the quality of the dishes was not worth the wait. Dhansak was missing the taste of dal(pulses), and chicken was very chewy. The only saving grace was the pilau rice, and papadums.

On a busy Friday night it was nice to be able to dine here without a reservation, but that’s not indicative of an unpopular place - it was busy still and I’m not surprised, as the food and service was great! Good size portions, nice spice levels on par with what I ordered and a really extensive range too. Prices were reasonable too and for a curry in the centre I’d definitely return.

To think if it was not for my hotels restaurant being closed I would of never found this place. I highly recommend Sam's really nice staff very welcoming and friendly. The food was fantastic and portion size was very generous. I had wish I had taken a photo of the food to share but trust me it was fantastic. I highly recommend this restaurant for its amazing food matched by the brilliant staff. Thank you for making me feel valued and welcomed.

Excellent service from polite staff. We didn't have a reservation but they found us a table anyway. The food was made quickly and tasted exquisite. The inside of the restaurant was clean and tastefully decorated and furnished.

I had the chef's special with extra chillies.Masala tea not served. Did not like the way the table and seats were cleaned. Out of 3 person saw one at a higher standard. It was busy and crowded waited until 9.30pm to be seated.Chocolate with the bill.

I visited Sams restaurant and was very pleasantly surprised with the excellent quality of the food. As an indian and visiting from London. I was glad to get a great meal away from home.

Hi visited here when we stopped in Inverness and wanted a curry. I believe at the time (27/07/20) this was the only Indian restaurant open due to Covid. They had hand sanitizers at the entrance and within the restaurant. They requested your name address and telephone to comply with Covid rules for test and trace. We ordered a chicken Tika Jaipuri and a saag curry. The food was good and made fresh. The peppers and onions in the curry were crunchy. The curry was hot but not as spicy as I would have liked it but it was still good. The staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant was clean and was happy with the surroundings.I paid £43 for one starter two mains one rice one Nan and two rotis with two drinks. So was avarage I think. We stayed at the Travel lodge in the city centre and it was a 5 min walk.I hope this helps you and if it did please like.
