Such a friendly welcome along with blanket and goody bag for our dog!Spectacular view of loch sea and hills from picture window in our room. Incredibly clean and good Covid precautions. Great atmosphere in the lofty bar, wood burner, cool Spinone dog and excellent food. We wish the owners all the very best with their venture in these difficult times 🙂.Jeannie, Chris and Billy Joe.

Very welcoming, Claire and Stuart (and "sprocket" the dog) are excellent hosts in idyllic surroundings.The room we stayed in had an amazing view and was well done out with a rustic upcycle feel to it. With no spills and frills it was perfect for us.Don't expect the Ritz, but the Host's Claire, Stuart and Sprocket the dog definitely make up for that, they give it a much more homely feel. They are dog friendly as well which made a huge difference to us as our dog was as welcomed and well treated as we were.We would definitely recommend staying at the Ocean View Hotel, Laide.

Fantastic place. I have counted on Poolewe riding a bike few days back. U fortunately could not get anything concretd as the restaurant in the hotel is open only from 5:30. I needed to go another 35 miles thag day and thus place literally saved my life :), otherwise I would be staying on chinese instant noodles instead. Great food. Fantastic friendly owners. Beautiful views. Very much recomended place for all the cyclists on the NC 500 route.

Came here for food and safe to say we will 100% not be coming back. Cold and unhomely abrupt owners, arrived and it was dead eventhough we were told we couldn't book for half 6 and had to book for 6. Ordered a quarter pounder angus burger for myself and the other two ordered half pounder. The half pounder was £15 each and when the burgers arrived they were thin what looked like defrosted patties. Upon tasting I've had nicer burgers at the roadside it was more on a par with mcdonalds. Afew days prior we had a takeaway from pool ewe hotel and had one of the nicest burgers we had ever had for 8.50 with black pudding the lot.To top it off the half pounder was 2 slices of thin beef patty as compared to my one slice of quarter pounder. Nothing was put together with any sort of care and the taste reflected that. Feel like it's almost false advertising to say they are offering half pounder angus beef when in all reality it doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that they are cutting corners big time. To top it off i asked if i could have a coffee and they said no the machine was switched off and cleaned ready for the breakfast lot. Very poor service and feel almost like i want some of my money back. And to top the whole experience off myaelf and my partner now have a dodgey stomach. Never normally complain believe it or not either!

Location and the smiles of the owners are worth a stay after a long day on the west coast of Scotland. Fresh food for dinner and a good breakfast. Cyclists are welcome

Yesterday we had dinner in this fantastic setting, beautiful view and a very handsome interior. Tasty and well-kept food, very friendly service from the owners! Top!!

Entered on the 4th day of trade for some drinks with pals. Convivial service, delightful people. Transformed the place, definitely worth a visit. Didn't try the food, would love to return to taste.
