Lovely stay. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Our room was large with a beautiful view, food was delicious and very well presented.

Fantastic stay for a wedding and long weekend. The staff were all very attentive and the rooms and setting were beautiful.

HIDDEN GEM - lovely hotel restored to its former glory maintaining so many original features. Enjoyed a day/nights stay whilst touring Scotland and we pleased to have found it. Comfortable and stylish rooms coupled with decent food.

Gorgeous premises, fantastic food, serene atmosphere and lovely helpful staff, whats not to love. We stayed in the master suite which was incredibly spacious and had stunning views of the loch. Had the taster menu at dinner which was absolutely outstanding, we will most definitely revist.

Worth every penny! This Victorian hunting lodge has tons and tons of character, the staff are great and the bar is stocked full of amazing Gin and Whiskey

We booked the cheapest room for one night which is still £245 and were disappointed with the room. It was very small and poor value at this price. For the room alone this would have been a 2 or 1 *, they did offer us a bottle of champagne as compensation. If you want a treat book the more expensive roomThe hotel is in a beautiful location and we had a lovely dinner and enjoyed a whisky flight from their fantastic collection of whiskies. If you come here be prepared to pay extra, but it has its charm .

So upset.....Liked · The restaurant room and the lounges had a lovely feel to them, the decoration and layout was nice along with the Loch view from these rooms.Disliked · Our room was dreadful, we had three nights in an attic room No 11, it was the tiniest of spaces at £245.00 nightly which was appalling value for money, an absolute farce. our tiny window which only opened 100mm in baking hot July 2021 overlooked the vegetable bed. We asked for a change of room but they were fully booked, we drove to Gairloch to find alternative accommodation without luck. The toilet seat was broken and moved about 200mm from side to side, I have a video but this will not attach here.. No Wifi, no full mirror, the sink was low, dictated by space and a sloping ceiling.No spare toilet roll, we actually ran out !!!.This is called a hunting lodge, in my view it is no such thing. It's a Victorian House. Room 11 which we had should not be let, it should be a store room. The restaurant food was of a standard, we had a Velouette starter which created a conversation with an adjacent table as they found the choice amusing as they ordered the same and did not eat it theirs either. It was awful, we tried eating out one night, and drove over and an hour to find an alternative, we ended up with Fish and Chips in a pub in Gairloch. The narrow windows in the restaurant were filthy. The whole experience was awful. There were no sized 5 or 6 Wellingtons available for use.

We booked 3 nights at this hotel, which we knew was expensive at £245 per night, but the photos of the room and description appeared lovely and it was to be a special treat. We were however, bitterly disappointed as our room was tiny and cramped with hardly enough space to squeeze between the wardrobe and the small double bed. The bathroom window was cracked and the window would not open which was a problem because there was no extractor in the bathroom. Every time we used the shower the whole bedroom filled with steam. There was damp mildew on the ceiling in the bathroom. The bedroom door lock was faulty. All these things were reported to the staff on duty but they just said they could not do anything about it. The room was sub-standard and misrepresented in the photos. We feel that we have been ‘ripped off’. Please be very careful before booking this hotel.
