A quaint little cafe with some of the best brownies in Caithness! They also serve some of the best savoury goods in the area, very fresh and warming in the stomach. The cafe also has a wee store where you can buy some products from.

I had a lovely hazelnut latte with a huge slice of sticky toffee cake. Couldn't finish it but they provide handy takeaway boxes if you don't want to dine in. There was only 3 tables so we were lucky to get a table as it didn't take long for more people to come in and no seating left.

Very nice young waiter/barista who appeared to be very welcoming. Welcomed me and my South American friend with open arms. Fed us onion cheese.

The staff were friendly when I ordered, two ladies, no complaints. The place is set up very oddly in that, you go over to the coffee counter to order then you have to go to a separate counter behind you to pay, and that causes the staff more work because they'll have to make the coffee then walk to the till across the room or make the coffee and then get someone else to charge you, which isn't always the best. It's a waste of resources, because instead of having two people serve, you have one person make the coffees and one person charging. So please install a till at the coffee counter, it makes more sense. The lady that made my coffee did a pet peeve of mine when steaming the milk. She sat the jug down while the milk was being steamed. This is bad because you're not stretching the milk to get adequate microfoam and because you can't control the temperature of the milk properly and can burn the milk. When I was given my coffee it was very hot, and they didn't have coffee sleeves so I had to use a napkin.A regular oat mocha costs £4 ish, which is pretty steep, but I did like the coffee once it cooled down. The gift shop looked cool, would definitely check it out again. So some good points and some bad points.

We had coffee and pastries here. They have excellent, friendly service. Their desserts are yummy. The store has tourist items to purchase as well wine and beer. Ice cream Is also right around the corner.

Gorgeous little place. It's like a treasure trove! A great selection of delicious cakes, coffees, hot food and snacks.Loads of beautiful eco gifts, an indoor and outdoor seating area.Staff are super helpful and friendly. Definitely worth a visit x

The food was very scrumptious looking. I regret not trying many of the different things as I was very full. I did have the coffee which was very good. The cakes looked delicious, I would encourage you to definitely give it a try. The staff were wonderful.

Absolutely fabulous little place! The lady who runs it is very friendly and happy to chat to you. She was also very kind to the dogs, offering them snacks and giving them a love. The food was very tasty. We had carrot and coriander soup with soda bread, which was lush and served at the perfect temperature, then due to the large and gorgeous selection of cakes, we tried the brownie, the raspberry brownie, the millionaires shortbread and Tablet cheesecake with a cup of tea. We also had a couple of very nice Sicilian lemon and orange cold drinks. My God, I'm glad I don't live nearby as I would get fat being in there all the time! 😂 Our intention before we entered was just to have a cuppa and a bit of cake, but after that feast we also had a browse of some of the lovely deli foods for sale and left with some Black Bomber cheese and some local ales too. We were also really pleased to see that the cutlery was compostable and the food was served in recyclable cardboard. We really enjoyed our visit to John o Groats and this place was one of the main reasons for that.

Super friendly staff. Lovely cafe and deli selection. It's even dog friendly! The only problem is that it's so popular! :D

Lovely, little, Bright and airy cafe with cheerful and helpful staff. The ambiance is quiet unique, and so are the choices on the menu. They have a surprisingly good selection of local ( from next town, Wick) whisky like Old Pultney. Even the pour, serving etc was very professional, although I was somewhat amused finding alcohol in a coffee cafe. The local community boards and the interesting bathroom, complete the experience. Good value for money. Plenty of parking and its right by the sea at John o groats
