The staff all round are very welcoming, lovely people and the service is fantastic 5⭐+

Staff very friendly and professional when serving great food. Accommodation very clean and warm, room had a log fire that was prepped and ready to go. Views for the rooms are stunning and great sunsets. If the weather is good you can book boat trips from pier that is about 20 min walk away. Highly recommended.

Fantastic location and views. Breakfasts excellent. Staff were exceptional. The bistro was nice. the fine dining in the restaurant was expensive and I wasn’t a fan of my choices. A number of the other clientele seemed to be very entitled older persons who were rude to the staff.

If you are looking for a 80’s style throwback at £300 a night you have hit the jackpot.Complete with bidet and furniture that hasn’t been updated in sometime this hotel lives on their view alone. The staff are all young and although polite enough, their customer services skills leave a lot to be desired.I question if our room was even been cleaned, I did asked the manager to come over to have a look, but sadly they never appeared. This was our 5th hotel on our NC 500 trip and by far the most disappointing and most expensive.

Despite being a hotel resident, I was asked to vacate their empty public bar after 6pm and directed to their beer garden as they were apparently fully booked for dinner guests. By 7pm only two couples had arrived to dine so it’s a mystery as to why I needed to move at all. The beer garden at dusk unsurprisingly offered nothing but midges; see photo for hedge blocked Summer Isles view. Pretty poor way to treat your paying guests!

This is an excellent hotel in a lovely location with lovely views and walks. Our room was very comfortable and the staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The food is exceptional and I had the best omelette I have ever tasted.

Visited today for lunch and had a great experience - it’s a stunning setting, the food was fantastic, and the staff were all very friendly and welcoming. Definitely worth a visit and would love to stay next time.

Aw. One of the best places we stopped for the night on the NC500:Admittedly the rooms need a little tlc and upgrading but what sets this place apart from the others is firstly the staff: Mitch, Simon and Naimh. Naimh, an absolute star! Made our stay.Secondly, the food, wine selection and cocktails. Apparently they’re going tue their Michelin and I hope they get it! It’s really good! Thanks guys x

A very comfortable, luxurious and welcoming hotel in one of the most isolated and beautiful spots on the west coast. Certainly a place to chill out in! No wonder so many people come back. I was here in 1975, 2001 and May 2021 and I shan't leave it again so long. Very well appointed, warm, comfortable rooms and very helpful, good staff. The only niggle is that the restaurant serves very good food but in minuscule portions: not so good if you have spent the day hiking or fishing on a local loch. Haute cuisine with tiny portions went out of fashion in London 10 or more years ago; perhaps word hasn't reached here yet? The super fresh, delicious and perfectly cooked langoustines in my photo were a special request and were very much enjoyed!

Just a really nice place to stay, the situation with views overlooking the Summer Isles, is superb. The hotel is small but in lovely grounds and close to the shore, rooms seemed to vary in quality, ours was certainly comfortable. The food, wine and service was excellent, the people were quite obviously committed and did go the extra mile, even in that our bikes were moved to safe storage without the need to ask. We would love a return visit.
