The Cairngorm Hotel in Highland

Food is seriously over priced for what it is. Very expensive pub grub. Very nice decorative venue and a great atmosphere in the bar. Given the venue and the prices on the menu i was expecting a very good half classy meal, but no! Wouldn't eat here again but i would go back into the bar.

The hotel was fine, was there for 2 nights. Not very busy, our room was as expected warm, clean and comfortable. Didn't eat there though as were meeting friends who live in the area but facilitates were good, bathroom with shower etc. Got pretty busy in bar but service was very quick and staff friendly. Would happily go back there.

I really enjoyed my 2 night stay here with my 2 children. The family room was just the perfect size for us 3. Only thing missing was a small fridge which would've been handy, but that didn't detract from the place at all. It just has this lovely Scottish charm and I can't wait to return for another stay in the near future. Breakfast was fab, and the lovely lady covering breakfast time kept my 5 year old happy, entertained and fed...even though what he wanted wasn't on the menu (a sausage bap!). She went above and beyond and treated him like he was her own. Such a relaxed and friendly vibe to this place and such a great location. I couldn't recommend it highly enough. Qe ate dinner there on one night too and it was good hearty fayre. It kept us all happy, and very reasonably priced too. If you are thinking of a trip to the Highlands, this would be a great place to base yourself for a few nights.

Main course was nice. My only niggle is the waiter put his fingers and hands all over the top of our wine glasses instead of holding the stork, not so great in this time of Covid.My friend had a white chocolate cheese cake but there was no cheesy bit In the cheesecake it was foam on a biscuit base no chocolate to be seen! Naughty really.The music was very loud and when trying to have a conversation the fiddle music sounded like screeching.

Lovely grab. I had liver and bacon (my favourite dinner) and it was one of the best liver and beacons I have ever had.. Gravy was super rich and full of flavour

Arrived mid afternoon asking to book a table later that night as it was a Saturday.Arrived at at 730 only to be told they were full and couldn't take anymore.There was no apology form front of house. Even if they had suggested a time to come but there was nothing.Very poor customer service. Avoid if you don't want to go hungry

On a bitter cold day we were searching for somewhere to go for a hot drink where my dog would be welcome,after a fruitless search we went to the hotel as our last hopeThey couldn't have been more welcoming,to us and our dogWe were seated in comfortable sofas and chairs and had great coffee and hot buttered fruit sconesWe were treated with great courtesy and the prices were very reasonableIf in Aviemore call in the Cairngorm Hotel

Nice relaxing atmosphere with a few drinks at the bar. Staff were friendly and the online ordering system made everything so easy. Highly recommend.

Room small overlooking flat roof paid 150 b&b. Had an evening meal would have been better going to chip shop. Standard has went downhill. Table at breakfast not large enough for 2 people felt cramped. Service ok. Have stayed before but this time soo disappointed will never be back. Overpriced and rated

LOVE IT! Just step back in time to this cozy, comfy, tartan decked lodge! There's only 32 rooms so it is quiet and quaint. It's so cozy that people come in off the street to sit in the lobby by the fireplace and enjoy a pot of tea or beer.Our room included breakfast but we also had dinner in the restaurant and did a quiz night I the pub. It was a fabulous location for a weekend getaway!
