The Claymore Restaurant in Highland

Hands down one of the best meals I had whilst in Scotland. The specials were fantastic and super fresh.

The perfect blend between bar and restaurant, always a lovely atmosphere, amazing bar staff and owners.The owner themselves are both very proud chefs and this definitely shows with their cooking and service, one of the simplest but hardest to get right items on a menu is a good burger...and wow , they really know how to make the best out of a burger without throwing all sorts of concoctions at it...the best patty and always cooked to perfection.The Cullen skink is another one of my favourites here...plenty of haddock, good herbs and seasoning, thick broth and a good amount of potatoes.Just quality food with amazing service, can't go wrong at all

Had the most wonderful meal at the claymore. The waiters were so friendly!! They explained how they had just changed hands so they had some stock issues but this didn't impact the meal one bit. The food was absolutely gorgeous 😍 Highly recommend 😊

The food was amazing, the waitress that served us was the most helpful woman. We been travelling for 3 days and I’ve had massive tooth ache and she went out her way to get me some cloth oil. Which meant I was able to enjoy my birthday meal out with my family. Just want to say thank you again for a lovely experience

Absolutely outstanding food, we were really lucky to walk in and get a table in the bar area (where you can bring your dog), as immediately after we were seated there was a long queue formed with walk ins trying to get seated. There is no book ahead and you must wait on a first come first served basis, which the girls dealt with admirably considering how many turned up in a short space of time.The main menu was short but good, and then a socials board (pictured) was available.We had a venison, black pudding and blue cheese burger (main menu) and a sharwama (special). It was quick, delicious, plenty of it and obviously made with care and attention.We'll be back (if we can get in!) as soon as we can as there's lots of other things on the menu we want to try. Kudos to the team there for a great culinary treat.

Food was amazing ....the staff very curtious and helpful ...Great atmosphere ...the haddock and chips was amazing .....and not overly priced ...would definitely reccomend🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🙌🏾

I'm all for dogs being welcome but when they are barking for over 1.5 hours...I draw the line, totally ruined the experience for me. It was a busy restaurant, and I couldn't have been the only one totally fed up with the noise. The choice on offer was decent and the food was good. Never really had exceptional service, don't think I saw any happy staff. The food was good, but I was glad to leave as I didn't have to listen to those dogs barking anymore.

Crab cakes had crab sticks instead of real crab and the mixed seafood curry was just pea curry with four small chunks of salmon. It tasted like something you get from a supermarket but cost £17. Would have expected actual seafood considering it said mixed seafood. The waitress said sorry but didn't attempt to fix it. The chips on the other hand were pretty great.

Great seafood (but not exclusively). I had crab cakes and then mussels starter as main which was very filling, and Drambuie for dessert. Service excellent. Dogs allowed. Highly recommended.

I'm not usually into seafood but this place totally changed my mind. The fish is so fresh and well cooked. The staff was friendly and attentive. You may have to wait a bit longer for a table and for the food as everything is freshly cooked- but well worth it. Was so good we went twice for dinner in our three night trip to isle of Skye.
