Much of the produce served at this cozy cafe is grown & reared on the Rothiemurchus Estate.

Fabulous walk around Loch an Eilein on Boxing day. Lovely scenery and a decent walk for us all and the dogs. Great photo opportunities and can get out of the rain in the woods if the weather is poor.

To think of Rothiemurcus as a single visitor attraction is a big mistake. It is a vast Highland Estate with several locations of its own, plus numerous local businesses all catering to land management as well as visitors. This review I am assuming is about to be linked to the Rothiemurcus visitor center located just outside Aviemore on the ski road, which used to be referred to as Inverdruie. It is most certainly worth a tourist visit, and there is a coffee/food offering here again as well as ski hire (which has all been missing for a few years).

Let’s be honest… my husband dragged me to do quad biking after much disagreement as part of our honeymoon…HOWEVER!!!I had the best time of my life! What a adrenaline rush!We enjoyed ourselves that much we went back the next day! The staff are incredible! They are so pure and chatty! They make sure you feel safe and comfortable and are really encouraging! The quad bikes were brilliant! Would highly recommend that everyone goes!Beautiful scenery too!

Quad trek was amazing the kids absolutely loved it! The staff at the quad treks were all helpful and friendly. The cafe served the BEST bacon sandwich by far!

We had a brilliant morning on the Highland Coos safari. The ranger was very friendly and knowledgeable. Meeting the cows was just amazing and they’re so well looked after. The restaurant/cafe is lovely and food is also good. Farm shop is big and has a good range of local goods.I highly recommend going here.

If you ever pass Aviemore do stop for a walk in this location. There is a very nice little Loch an Eilein. Water is warmer then Loch Ness, good entry spots for swimmers. There is parking closer to the lake, but we couldn't see the signs and you need to pay. No cafe or coffee at the lake. But if you leave you car at Rothiemurchus parking ( cafe, shop and toilets) you can take a nice walk through the woods to the lake. It is about an hour walk and it is beautiful.

Friendly and helpful staff. Really accomodating. We'd never tried fly fishing before but learned some good tips from the gentleman running the shop. Really fantastic day out and had a lot of fun. Everyone around us was catching plenty, we didn't but that was our fault - already looking at coming back tomorrow/soon. Cheers, the two boys who didn't catch anything

What a haven! Great food, parking and a farm shop. Excellent quality, great service and a big choice. The bacon rolls from the Barn were first class, and the tea was full of flavour.

Very busy at the centre and not very clear on the instructions where to meet (at the meeting point that looks like a band stand). The tour guides we had were very knowledgeable and friendly. We did the hairy coo safari but would have took part in some of the other activities if time allowed. Reasonable value for money

Amazing place to visit! Me and my partner booked the Hairy Coo Safari and the White Water Tubing and both were fantastic! The safari was a lovely and unique experience with a knowledgeable guide and lots of time spent with the cows! The White Water Tubing was both a little terrifying and exhilarating - great value for money as you get to do swimming and jumping into the water as well as tubing. Fantastic instructors that helped get everyone safely out of their comfort zone. A highlight of our getaway that we will remember for many years. We loved these activities so much we booked the Quad Trek last minute and loved that as well. The instructor was really friendly and told us a lot about the estate, and made sure we had a fantastic and memorable time. Another highlight we won't be forgetting anytime soon!!The farm-shop at Rothiemurcus is also great - lots of local produce to browse!
