I had the nicest fish and chips I've ever had. Everything was cooked fresh. The fish and chips were crispy and the mushy peas were delicious. Even got a wedge of lemon.

·

Really quick service and the fish and chips were cooked to perfection

There is a reason this place has queues out of the door- the fish and chips and veggie burger and chips are just fantastic- and the home made tartar sauce is fabulous! We were driving through and from England, but made to feel welcome by staff - professional and prompt service- trust us- it’s worth the 10 min wait for your fish supper here!!

Good menu, freshly cooked food. Very clean premises.

After 15 mile drive to try out a sit-in Fish supper we were not disappointed. Beautifully cooked fresh fish and good chips, mushy peas and tartar sauce on the side. The only let down was that we had to keep our jackets on as the restaurant was a bit cold for sitting.

I called to place an order, the person in the phone was either not paying attention or bone idle. I ordered a haddock and chips and vegetation sausages and chips, she didnt listen and made three portions of sausages (9 in total) and charged me for that. I was told I had to wait 45 mins for my order...45 minutes for fish and chips!!!!!! Stupid!!! Arrived to pick up my order and the four members of staff were standing around doing nothing and eating behind the bar, health and safety big no no!! I had to wait a further 10 mins for my order while they chatted and ate....just outrageous!! I am glad I am just visiting Alness as I would never go to this shop again!!!

Called while on holiday and the fish and chips were perfect, the batter was so crispy. So, as it’s our last night I’ve just ordered them online, which is really easy to do. Husbands going to pick the up soon, can’t wait. Really recommend, you won’t be disappointed.

Fish is lovely and the batter thin and crispy. Service was good. They cook your fish fresh even if you order online, which is good so the batter doesn't go soggy or the fish go cold. Lovely staff. This will be my local from now on.

Frequently eat here when home the food is mostly good but tonight I was very disappointed ☹️ I know it’s tourist season but my goodness I was charged £1.85 for a sprinkling of cheese on my daughter Red pudding supper!! A bit ridiculous when it was almost £6 for the supper itself 😔

Absolutely brilliant. Amazing food, friendly and funny service, cozy ambiance (check the fisherboat-photos....it's impressive). Been there spontanously, driven by the hunger of a perfect fish & chips : wasn't disappointed. It was perfect.
