Great food, friendly staff and 4 legged friends welcome. We dropped in here for lunch during a short break in The Lakes. The manager made lots of time for our puppy cocker spaniel even although he was clearly very busy. Bar staff and restaurant staff very welcoming. The bar area welcomes humans as well as dogs 😀

The kings arms hotel is a great little hotel to stay in, the rooms are clean and cosy. The bar is a good place to chill out and have a few drinks in its warm and friendly atmosphere after a long day hiking with plenty of beverages to choose from. The food served here is amazing from homemade pies, burgers and the good old traditional fish and chips, the food has never disappointed me.I have also noticed alot of different decor ranging from descriptive pictures of the local legends to a few silly ones like dogs in suits.A great place for all the family (including dogs) to stay and have a laugh.

Where do you start! We came in here to eat as it was the only place that had space, everywhere else was rammed.Menu looked ok to start with but wasn't impressed with the options. We went on a Sunday so Sunday dinner was still available after 6pm. This was the only thing on the menu that was cheaper than the rest and looked alright.Meat on my Turkey roast was nice and I tried some beef from another meal in our party. But everything else I felt was inedible. Just didn't like the fact that it all had no taste and the Yorkie was burnt.Drinks were not the best. No price menu to look. Way over priced for all drinks we had and a pint of beer, that my boyfriend had and it was so watery it was horrible to drink. £4.20 is too much for what he got. Also had many many bubbles sticking to the side of the glass which is not nice to see! Not clean glasses at all.Staff were alright, they tried their best to cater for us. Definitely will not be returning.

We called in lunch time today for a quick bite and coffee, what a great choice I had Cumberland sausage and onion baguette, my wife the chicken bacon club sandwich, we shared a bowl of chips which were home made and delicious as we're both our mains, beautifully cooked, well presented and very very filling. Can't recommend enough. We will certainly visit again when next in Keswick.

First of all the place looks a little outdated even for an oldie world looking jaunt. The food was pretty poor all round and there was 6 of us and not one of us enjoyed our meal. For the prices there you would expect a hell of a lot more than what you got. Drinks glasses weren't particularly clean and seems the lines for the draught beers weren't clean either, pints were flat with bubbles clinging to the side of the glass. Waitress was very nice though. Wouldn't recommend this place 👍

Fab position on the market square, had a slight issue with our room, spoke to the manager and he resolved the issue immediately in a polite and professional manner, breakfast. and evening meal very good, all staff extremely friendly, and of course we shall return,

We stayed in room 3 in Jan 22'. The hotel is nice as are the staff, the bar and the food.Would have got a better nights sleep in a hostel! The room is directly above the bar so was very noisy until the bar shuts and then the cleaning begins early in the morning so getting any sleep in this room is impossible. The disappointing part is that a sign said rooms were still available, so I'm not sure why we were given this room" perhaps because we were using a prepaid gift voucher? (The room was booked months in advance!).I would have given this feedback when checking out if given the opportunity but I was never asked, so excuse the online rant!

Extremely disappointed, we have a voucher and wanted to book one night in June (flexible) but were told they will not accept a booking from anyone with vouchers in June, July, or August. I find this terrible, I was going to add nights but if this is how they treat us now I wonder what else will be 'off'. vouchers are money but I was made to feel like second class customer

Had dinner here this evening after the restaurant next door closed without warning. So glad we came here instead - great, hearty, tasty food. Really recommend eating in the restaurant instead of the bar - you get a super attentive, personal service, with an extremely calm vibe, chill music, and great beer. Very satisfied customer here!

Enjoyed our 5 * Xmas lunch today. Originally booked in January 2020 ready for Xmas 2020 and we all know what happened then! The hotel has been exemplary in rebooking everything to Xmas 2021 and keeping in touch. The meal and service was fantastic and couldn't be faulted in any way. Thank you to everyone, it was worth waiting for! Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
