What an amazing place to stay, peaceful, fantastic traditional food, great views and great walking, it ticks every box, loving it now even before we've finished our stay!

Amazingly beautiful location with excellent, friendly staff who make everything work brilliantly. Andy's co-ordination of the group's very varied activities was effective without being pushy and his knowledge of the mountains, wildlife, weather etc. together with his skill in handling the boat in all the weathers our week sent at us was exceptional. Liz and her team in the restaurant produced not just excellent and varied food (and beer) but an incredibly enjoyable experience.Fascinating group of people to spend a week with, thank you Frances too!Looking forward to next time :-)

Not an ordinary hotel. Accesible only by boat. Host meets guests at Mallaig. Explore remote west Scotland and islands. Comfortable rooms. Set menus. All meals and packed lunch included. Great hospitality. Love it.

I have been coming to Doune in Knoydart every year for many years now, sometimes managing two trips in a season. It has always been and continues to be very special. Always an adventure whatever the weather. Food is second to none and although set menu each night,It individual requirements always catered for without a fuss. Having the opportunity to go out in the boat always pleasurable and fun, even if I am not as agile as I used to be.

OK: this is an almost impossible place to describe, but it is absolutely magical for the right people - people who are not expecting a hotel, not expecting a holiday cottage, not expecting a beach holiday, but are seeking natural beauty in its purest form and a real complete escape. Tranquil setting and warm welcome make the wonderful countryside and seascape even more alluring than it already is.

Location amazing....secluded... access by boat....or foot, fab views of Eigg, Rhum and Skye from Doune bay. Accommodation: simple, but has everything you need, relaxing and casual... maximum 18 guests in 3 small stone lodges and one larger lodge for specialist groups or families. Food: homegrown, homemade or locally sourced...tasty and plentiful. Staff and owners: all hands on deck to give you an unforgettable holiday. So welcoming, friendly and knowledgable. Transport available to access walking trails, munros or sightseeing all over the peninsula....via mini bus or boat. Highly recommend.

Absolutely stunning place to visit! It's worth it for the views alone. A small piece of untouched heaven here.

Great food, no menus=fixed meal, good beer and wine in a unique location. But you have to get there. Taxi not an option.

Great anchorage and food - set menu of whatever is fresh (we had langoustines) - book ahead if sailing
