Fantastic place, quality food, lovely staff, great prices.

Managed to get a table here, thanks to our kind airb&b hosts who helped us get a reservation. Had mussels and twice baked cheese soufflé lobster bisque to start the meal. Braised pork belly and chicken bacon rolls as our mains. Everything was well prepared and flavorful.

Whilst my opinion might not count for much in the grand scheme of things, the food at the Laroch is the BEST I’ve ever eaten. Ever.3 visits in 4 years (if it wasn’t for covid/lockdown we’d be 4 for 4) and somehow they keep getting better.Great atmosphere, fantastic service and food to die for (at a reasonable price too).We keep having to find excuses for holidays to Scotland, otherwise it’s just a 600 mile round trip for dinner.

Top notch, MasterChef style plating, presentation, and food is delicious. beef is cooked perfectly, served with red wine jus. Salmon and haddock wrapped in puff pastry with saffron rice in a creamy sauce was interesting and tasty. And friendly and helpful service.

Excellent food, worth booking a table. Smallish restaurant, with car park. Fairly plain decor but nice comfy seats. Everything very clean and thoroughly cleaned between guests. The menu is superb and the food doesn’t disappoint. Service was efficient and helpful. After dinner, the village is an interesting place to explore, with lots of information about the old quarry.

Fantastic food, and great service from a young team. You will need to book the table in this what looks unassuming pub/restaurant from the outside. You want to go, make sure you book or you'll be deeply disappointed.

Food was fantastic!!! A bit of a struggle to get a hold of them to make a booking but well worth it once you do (definitely recommend booking ahead as it gets busy!). Service was friendly. The menu has a lot of great items. We had the seafood and beef specials which were both excellent. We got the cheesecake and chocolate tart for dessert which were both delicious (though we wished the cheesecake was slightly larger 😜)

An absolute gem in a great location. The food is absolutely deserving of these five stars, with an enormous menu of beautifully designed dishes. Superb service- we were absolutely stunned by our time here so don't miss it. Photos: langoustine soufflé, salmon en croute, wild mushroom risotto, sticky toffee pudding and a creme brulee. 10/10
