The Lock Inn in Highland

Early season in Fort Augustus, (late March!) but the pub was serving very good food all day, every day. Excellent bar staff too. Highly recommended.And dog friendly - goes without saying. ;)

We came here for lunch and dinner, both were gorgeous. Lovely and helpful staff is there to serve you. Prices were reasonable for food and drinks and portions are big. Presentation of the meals was high class too.

Overly expensive and poor food with free hair included and uninterested staff when you bring it to their attention. Overly loud music, but the barman seems to like it, so hey, who cares!

I don't know where to start. From the excellent service to the awesome food this place is a must go. The steak pie was luch. It fell to pieces in my mouth I couldn't have done it better. the service is fast and they don't mess you around. If your at loch Ness it's a must go restaurant

Stopped off for some lunch on the way back from Skye. Nice local pub with, certainly, a beautiful fish and chips. The portions were massive the fish lovely and fresh with gleaming white flesh. Hard to fault. If you are in Fort Augustus and feeling hungry then this place won't disappoint you.

Delicious food, super clean dining room and bathrooms, excellent service. We had Mac & cheese (good) and fish & chips (super). Food portions are big (we were 3 people we ordered 2 mains) Highly recommended.

Cozy pub with great food. We ordered soups, haggis and fish & chips, everything was yummy. That haddock was probably the biggest fish I tried in the UK. The staff were friendly and helpful. Definitely worth a visit if you fancy some quality pub food and a pint of beer.

Good cosy little pub in Fort Augustus. Suitable for a walkers rest. Fish and chips portion is indeed huge, great Mac and cheese.
