This place is very special- elegant ambiance with hospitable and professional staff. We booked for an evening meal and from start to finish it was a perfect experience. The staff were extremely attentive and made us feel extremely special. There was a small menu but every dish was executed with perfection!!!! This was 100% our special stop of the trip. The restaurant and lounge had perfect atmosphere with gentle lighting and record player humming warm tunes. Left here feeling appreciative of excellent food and the warm and beautiful surroundings.

Very friendly staff, incredible views, and a restaurant which frankly exceeds all expectations. The head chef is exceptional and I recommend staying here and enjoying the food :)

My daughter (3yrs) and I stayed at this stunning location to end our summer holidays. An absolute treat! The only fine dining experience in the area, the food is exquisite (and includes a children’s menu which was a wonderful surprise!)The staff are so lovely, and were genuinely delighted to chat to us about our adventures. The lodge is surrounded by the best of Scottish scenery and has plenty to explore, discover and appreciate. We may well have just discovered our annual getaway treat!

A beautiful place for dinner! My partner and I booked very last minute to celebrate a surprise engagement whilst travelling the NC500. Newton Lodge could not have been more accommodating! Food was ace, service was excellent! A lovely atmosphere and the most memorable evening! Thanks for making it so special! Definitely worth a visit!

We stayed at Newton Lodge in August, just after they reopened and what a find! Rooms beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean, staff were absolutely lovely, couldn't do enough for you and the owners Lisa and Ed were fantastic, in what must have been extremely challenging Covid circumstances. Their attention to detail, helpful tips and recommendations re what to do in the surrounding area and incredibly high hygiene standards made our stay notable for all the right reasons. The stunning scenery was the icing on the cake. Highly recommended, no idea why some people here criticise, they are a small, privately run hotel and doing their utmost best under incredibly trying circumstances. Highly recommended!

Warm friendly welcome, fantastic overnight stay enroute on the NC500. Wonderful food, definitely worth trying the steak. Parents stayed in room 7 it has spectacular views, everything in the room was decorated stunningly. Even the soap smelled wonderful, if I wasn't an honest person I would have took it home.Worth every penny.

Newton Lodge is set in the most fantastic location with views of the mountains and loch, which made for a dramatic backdrop to our delicious dinner! We stayed whilst cycling the north coast 500, when we arrived the staff were all so friendly and helpful, the rooms were spotlessly clean and had very stylish decor. The food was fantastic, really high standard and fresh ingredients. We had such a comfortable stay and would highly recommend!
