Top marks for this hotel. Very comfortable with friendly staff and excellent food. We were very weary cyclists and the hotel took great care of us. We'd love to return

Pictures different from real life and unfortunately our room did nothing feel clean. Amazing setting and nearby pubs on the lochs

Just returned from a four night stay in the Lovat in Fort Augustus and have to complement the staff on making our stay most enjoyable. The communal areas are comfortable and tastefully decorated. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with a view up Loch Ness. The breakfasts were beautifuly prepared and presented. Unfortunately we were unable to get a reservation for the restaurant even though it appeared not to be fully occupied, so cannot comment further in that respect. There are even EV charging points in the car-park.

I just got back from a two night stay at the Lovat. We had a wonderful time. The rooms was so comfortable, we had everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable with crisp white linens. The bathroom was spacious with big fluffy towels and robes. We had a great view of the Caledonia Canal and Loch Ness. We ate at the restaurant one night, we opted for the three course menu for dinner, it was incredible, very good value. The wine selection was also good. The staff at the Lovat are probably the best staff I have experienced at a hotel. They were very knowledgeable about the food, hotel and the area. They went above and beyond. I highly recommend this hotel. Yes will be back.

Absolutely brilliant place to stay for dogs owners . There is separate buildings with few rooms if you stay with your pet. Small front garden, fully safe and fenced. Table and chairs outside. Room clean with everything you need, minibar, coffee machine and TV. Hairdryer x 2, iron and lot more. Pet welcome set with bowls, blanket and treats. Restaurant and bar in the main building. Staff fantastic, friendly and helpful. Parking free of charge. Pet fee only £10.

I have nothing but the highest praise for this hotel. A beautiful location within easy reach of the most stunning Highland scenery, the friendliest staff and some of the best food we've ever eaten, all locally sourced or foraged. Their eco-friendly ethos is also a huge plus. Just go and enjoy! we will certainly be back.

We booked in here for a couple of nights during a few days away. Easy, friendly check in and shown to one of the garden rooms which was absolutely perfect for us. Away from the main hotel with a little porch to sit out and take in the view, a spotless room with all the amenities you might need, an enormous bath and Bluetooth mirror. Comfortable bed and underfloor heating, and a very reasonable mini bar. The restaurant is fantastic as well - I think the photos speak for themselves.
